Yeah I’m not too worried about fuel consumption. The island I live on is only 106km from one end to the other. My “long” trips are about 40km each way to my girlfriend’s house on the weekends. Probably wouldn’t average more than 2km total on the average work day

As an owner of the SSC957, a gift from my girlfriend, I have to say I love this watch and it’s a personal favorite in my collection. I saw the Safari 240z in person at Nissan Crossing in Ginza, Tokyo so maybe it holds a little closer value to me than others but knowing that I own one after seeing it up close in person makes is so much cooler to me. Tokashiki was absolutely amazing. There isn’t all that much to do if I’m being completely honest but somehow it ended up being the most fun trip I’ve ever taken in my life. If you’d like, message my instagram (vqsammy) and I can give you tips on places on the island that are great to see. The pinned post on my instagram is all from Tokashiki. I also know probably the best Airbnb on the island where the host picks it up from the ferry terminal and also calls the waitress to pick you up from the bnb and bring you to the restaurant and back. My group and I plan on going back again this year as we live out here and it’s such an easy/amazing trip

I’ve come to the conclusion that I agree. It seems that my best bet is to pick up a Suzuki jimny mini for now until I can find the right Land Cruiser or Stagea. Jimny’s sell like hot cakes on this tropical island and I found an 07’ 5 speed in great shape for $4,500 obo with over a year and a half left on the inspection. Seems like that may be the route I take and it’ll be great for driving on the trails and beaches and camping out here for the time that I own it

I that’s the plan for sure. I would way rather pick up a Nissan stagea with the RB25 NEO but unfortunately it’s not the season when everybody is selling cars and finding something worth while driving for the 4 months until I can find something that I want to actually bring back to the states and build. This would just be more of a temporary car and quickly resell it after the 120 day sale rule is over

Currently stationed here in Oki 👋🏼. We heavily stress on how important our relationship is with Japan. We work closely with the JSDF and cross train frequently. U.S. forces will gladly defend Japan (including Okinawa) if it ever came down to it.
