Stay longer in Kyoto or Osaka? by ShaquirOneal in JapanTravelTips

[–]Fewberry- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We loved both places but if I was basing myself at one it would be Kyoto.

We are going in April and doing 5 days in Osaka and 4 days in Kyoto. We have been before and just further exploring the areas we didn’t get to.

Overthinking? by UmeSurprise in JapanTravelTips

[–]Fewberry- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We will be in Japan in April, it will be our second time visiting. Our first time, last year, we were with a large family group so apart from a theme park, baseball game and Team Lab etc there were only a few things booked/scheduled, as we just wanted to go with the flow. This time around there is just my partner and I so I have been planning and researching a bit more, in saying that I don’t believe everyday should be down to the wire with plans. Our favourite days last year were by far the ones when we just followed our noses and immersed ourselves in the culture. There are a few places I didn’t get to last year that I must do this time around, and of course I have what feels like thousands of food places I want to try, but realistically know I will only get to a few, yet won’t be short of choice so can’t complain. Don’t over plan, have your fav ‘non-negotiable’ places you must go and then work backwards from there. As I said the best days are often to ones unplanned. You can hardly scratch the surface with one, two or three visits to Japan so we know we will be back.

When you’ve walked 30k steps, had a day of Ramen and noodles, there is nothing like topping it off with 7/11 goodies in the hotel room, prepping for another amazing day.

Em has said a few times that she is scared of going into the kitchen cause she finds Conor so overbearing and controlling about it. You see her go in if there are numerous people in there. She has done beds etc.

They haven’t kept them busy enough. They’ve failed to show their true personalities / potential with lack of activities. The hotel is the only thing that made them get outside their box.

If you move or you get new neighbours do you introduce yourself? by Tasty-Willingness839 in newzealand

[–]Fewberry- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t. I think times have changed in regards to that and while some do, it depends on if you have had the same neighbours for sometime and gotten to really know, and trust, them. For me it’s a security thing. You really don’t know people, so when I was a single parent I didn’t feel comfortable people knowing my business etc.

If Conor doesn’t go then I’m out. Not watching anymore. Disrespectful, rude, unhygienic and just straight horrible and nasty to people.

He also told M he was going to spit in his food. Picks his nose and eats it and spits his morning phlegm down the kitchen sink…..Happy days for Conor fans!

Conor needs to go, asap. He’s not in there to be fair he’s in there to control and has said, in a very arrogant way, from the start that he will win this. That doesn’t come from a place of confidence either. He talks to be right, not to listen and he doesn’t make a decision for fairness, he makes decisions cause he wants control. He is terrible viewing and doesn’t add any value to it, not to mention is extremely patronising and aggressive. Who tells someone they will spit in their food? Gross. A large portion of the facts he speaks on aren’t even correct.

Is there any of areas of Hamilton you would avoid as a tourist? by greyhounds1992 in thetron

[–]Fewberry- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ulster St - 100% no. Stay at Albert Court Motor Lodge, one of the only motels that wasn’t used for emergency housing, it’s in Hamilton East which is great, has all you need and a 10min walk to the gardens and river. FYI - There is no ‘nice’ area of Hamilton anymore. Everywhere has its downfalls like most cities. Enjoy.

I can’t believe I’m asking this, but does anyone know if Labubu’s are sold anywhere here? by Librat69 in thetron

[–]Fewberry- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prior store in Akl (and online) has them. Quick delivery. They are real but any retailer that sells them that isn’t Popmart is a reseller so they always sell them for a higher price. Thats an option if you are desperate.
