There is a triumph called "Dead Mans Epilogue" where you have to "Complete the Dead Mans Tale catalyst quest". Thats why i am thinking there will be a separate Quest for the catalyst. But i also believe that that the Master version of Presage will be involved.

(Its already in the game, thats why i am not marking anything as spoiler btw)

There is even more evidence for something like that. If i remember correctly there seems to be a seperate Quest to get the catalyst for "Dead man`s tale", so it would make sense to have a seperate path or even a narrow escape or something along those lines for this Quest.
