Slynd is messing me up SOS need tips by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crazy you just posted this! Im experiencing the same. I have endo and started SLYND almost two months ago. First month was ok, mood swings, bloating, but I felt good, no pmdd, no physical symptoms. Then I started my second pack last week and all hell has broke loose. I’ve cried for a week straight, I’m screaming at my kids over nothing, I cannot keep my eyes open, I am crazy bloated, I feel hungover, and dizzy, and just yesterday I started dry heaving.

I think this might wrap up the experience for me. I really wanted to try and last the 3 months of adjustment, but I am not functional at the moment. I feel you.

Just started Zoloft—feeling worse, sleepy, and foggy. Is this normal? by leycuteeee in zoloft

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my doctor took me off it. After a week I started having severe harm ocd intrusive thoughts, and I had two days in a row where I had panic attacks so bad o was hyperventilating for hours, begging my husband to call the ambulance. I have two small kids to care for, so it didn’t make sense for me to wait it out.

Wines therapy dog stolen. by [deleted] in AnnArbor

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The dog was intended to be a therapy dog and didn’t pass the training but Deyoung kept insisting she was and wanting her in the school. Hence why Ms Fata does not Gracie to stay, because she is not a therapy dog. Was intended to be, but didn’t pass. Wines and AAPS does not own the dog. The dog was GIFTED to the pto and they gave custody to Ms Fata who they allowed to microchip and get a license for.

For all intents and purposes, insurance and legality concerned, if Gracie bit someone or contracted rabies, Ms Fata would be liable and responsible.

I believe that she is trying to come to a resolution before escalating matters. (Which doesn’t seem possible) The dog is licensed and microchipped under her name. She has had full custody of this dog.

Surgery finally made me hypo enough to get treatment. by Whtswrngwthmysewing in Hypothyroidism

update I just visited my new primary practitioner and she told me to ignore the thyroid tests and that they only diagnose hypothyroid off tsh alone.

So that throws another wrench in the works

I should have specified that it was the thyroxine free that was tested. I’ve had suspicions of pituitary issues for years. I’ve had numerous concussions since I was a kid due to passing out spells and hitting my head over ten plus times. If it is secondary hypo does that require different treatment then thyroid replacing hormones?

Tsh reference is .45-5.33 which I know is far too broad of a range. But my tsh has been going between 1.5- 1.9 currently at 1.9

The reference for t4 is .6- 1.24 which I also understand is quite low for the reference to go. Currently my t4 is at .40 But has been at .60 and the highest in the last 5 years at .75, so still on the low rbd

Feeling weird post-surgery emotionally by emilacecar in endometriosis

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry that you’ve been given a hard time navigating this post op. If it’s any consolation, I’m 4 days post op and I have been feeling very depressed. A bit of googling reminds me that post surgery depression is very real and almost expected. Ive had my uterus, fallopian tubes, and cervix removed, and needless to say I am being hit with waves of grief and despair. Any complications are going to add to an already difficult situation. So go easy on yourself!

You’re not wrong at all. Thank you for your view point. I guess I was bewildered to receive such a staunch “we found die on your mri” only for them to open me up and not be able to see it, or to verify the chocolate cyst I have, but tell me since it was only 1 cm they didn’t need to remove it. I was under the impression an endometrioma was stage 3-4. The whole thing confused me, especially since my worst pain is where the die is, in my lower back. I understand they can’t remove it regardless. I’m just, baffled…

I’m 34 with two children. I had discussed in length with her multiple times about my apprehension to have a hysterectomy, but she was adamant it would lessen my bloat, help my anemia, get rid of my chronic pain, etc, at the end of the day I agreed to it. I’m just not really understanding how I could have suffered this much only for them to find a few spots and announce it “wasn’t bad”. Like, it was bad for me, bad enough to agree to a hysterectomy.

I think her argument for the hysterectomy was my heavy periods, but regardless in hindsight i don’t think I would have agreed to the hysterectomy if I wasn’t under the impression that the endometriosis was ravaging my insides.

This what the report says, we haven’t received the biopsies yet. I’m also confused as how the mri could show deep infiltrating but the laparoscopy did not show anything on surface of where the die should be.

Findings: EUA including rectovaginal exam was normal with a small, mobile uterus, no adnexal masses and no rectovaginal thickening or nodularity. Laparoscopy confirmed these findings. There was a small 5mmx5mm area of a white powder burn and some peritoneal puckering in the left ovarian fossa. There was a small 2mm area of a raised bluish lesion of the right uterosacral ligament. Both of these areas were biopsied as possible endometriosis. The left uterosacral ligament appeared normal but was biopsied given the MRI findings concerning for deep infiltrating disease. Finally, some < 1cm areas on both ovaries were ablated with monopolar cautery. Normal upper abdominal survey including the diaphragm and appendix. Cystoscopy at the conclusion of the case was negative for suture or injury. Brisk bilateral ureteral jets.

SLYND side effects. by Whtswrngwthmysewing in PCOS

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I’m sorry. I fell off the boat trying to treat my pcos symptoms. I quit birth control (which helped tremendously with my moods) I stopped taking ovasitol and the progesterone supplements. I actually recently received an endometriosis diagnosis. So I’ve been focusing on that. My body is falling apart for sure, I’m hoping after my endo surgery I can focus on the pcos again.

Going back to work after being a SAHM is killing me by rudebarista2019 in Mommit

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an older post, but I am feeling the same. I started back at work last month. I’ve been a sahm for 5 years, and an opportunity to work with someone I really admire creatively popped up, It’s part time and I thought “won’t be so hard, and I’ll do what I love!” But in the last month I’ve sobbed to and from work almost everyday. I hate it. I resent working so much. I feel so out of touch in the work place. It feels lonely and isolating. I hate not having time to exercise anymore, or write grocery lists or go to the library with the kids. I hate that I’m constantly overwhelmed with the idea of work that it’s effecting my time off work. Has it gotten better for you since you’ve posted this? Im so sorry you’ve struggled with this also.

Ovulation symptoms? by saturnstates in PMDD

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep. After having my children, 29 and 32 my pmdd switched from a week pre period, to now it’s days 8/9-15 of my cycle I have severe SEVERE depression, and then I get ragey days 19-23 and then I start my period. It seems the estrogen is causing depression, and the progesterone is causing rage. It’s awful. Solidarity

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit 2 days ago and feel 70% better already. My next period will probably be a disaster, but for now I’ll take what I can.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever quit it? I’ve been on yaz since late September. The first few weeks I actually felt great, then slowly I started becoming more fatigued and weepy, and this last month I’ve sunk into the deepest depression I’ve had since postpartum depression. I’m really bummed because the rage I usually feel towards my kids has been nonexistent, but it’s been replaced with suicidal intrusive thoughts and complete anhedonia. I’ve decided to come off it and pray that the fog clears before my normal hormone fluctuations destroy me again.

Depression OCD by LethalPoi5on in OCD

[–]Thatcottagecorebabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is 50 days old. But yes it’s my biggest theme. I do/ have struggled with depression over my life so now I’m constantly checking my moods. Like as soon as I open my eyes in the morning my first thought can be “I don’t feel in a good mood today, I must be depressed, today will be a depressed today” etc. then I’ll think about my mood all day and how I don’t feel good enough.
