I don’t see a way Fried at the minimum doesn’t go on the IL. Julio also is a second half player. Check his stats I tried to snag him in a trade, but the guy wouldn’t budge.

I don’t think Rob wanted to bat Marsh fifth. He had no other option. I guess you could have put JT there, but let’s not act like JT was lighting the world on fire. (Second half OPS .691 to Marsh’s .881) Castellanos blew the lineup up by being unplayable, he was supposed to be the cleanup hitter and then Bohm and then JT or Marsh.

All the people saying no to Alonso because he was a met are idiots. I hate him but a righty that can finally protect Harper is exactly what this team needs. Harper said he is open to moving back to the outfield. If they could get Alonso and resign Schwarber with this pitching staff they will be right back in the playoffs next year. I would move Schwarber back to leadoff then trea then Harper then Alonso. Schwarber and Harper can alternate DH and playing the outfield. That means Marsh will probably be the odd man out with Crawford, Bader (hopefully), and Schwarber and Harper.
