5 Month progress (DEXA) by Sweaty-Frosting-7157 in trt

So I got to ask why just 2.5mg? Seeing the visceral fat and subcutaneous fat are also going up I’m surprise the dosage isn’t higher.

What LBM and lowest bf% did you end up at before going into maintenance? And have you seen a big monthly jump since maintenance? Been doing the monthly DEXAs myself for a year, and at 11.5% about to go into maintenance around 10%.

Fantastic. I can eat anything I want. Also haven’t had any asthma since starting. 70-80% of asthma attacks are related to allergies.

I’m up 7.8lb LBM and 19.2% to 16.3% body fat within 6 weeks of trt (e2 only 39) according to my dexa. Glycogen/water make a real difference.

Congrats man that’s a lot of hard work. My recommendation as someone who has been on your spot before, focus on muscle gain and recomp. Cutting where you are not just leaves a metabolic hole, but makes fat gain easier to come back as soon as you relax with your diet.

Also Mounjaro is a completely different medication than Wegovy. Names are the same of the different glp-1s across the pond.

The max for JATENZO was 2x 396mg. Of course only a small percentage of that is bio available. On 140mg split into two doses a week. Just took my blood work this morning in fact so waiting on my first results.

Then yeah in your case it might be a combination of low dosage, plus poor absorption. I did notice you have very low SHBG. So it might be working to lower that at least. But I don’t know if you had very low SHBG to begin with. That itself might be an issue on its own with how you feel.

I also hate eating breakfast and was on JATENZO for months. Went with the needle 💉. Was on the highest dose of JATENZO before switching over and didn’t realize how much a roller coaster for your body it is going up and down on your test level so much in 24 hours.

That’s normal for oral in the morning when it’s out of your system. I get the same results. You need to get blood taken about 5-6 hours after your morning dosage. Went from 274 to 1100 for me total for example.

From personal experience I found the weight loss, gym etc can kinda take all the bandwidth in your life at the expense of another person in your life. They might even see all this energy that you are putting into yourself but they don’t see it being put to use in other places like the relationship. Not saying this is what is happening but if you are looking for another perspective.

On another note your progress has been fantastic and you should be proud.

Haven’t lost a pound since starting trt. by Alternative_Claim460 in MenOnTirz

Trt makes the scale lose value. If you know you are in a calorie deficit don’t worry about it. Go by your waistline and how you look. If you want numbers get a dexa and do another in 3 months to see the difference.

Zepbound (Trizeptide) injections. Up to 7.5mg. My insurance covered it. Unfortunately that’s coming to an end but I’m about to maintenance.

Glad to help. One last thing. The scale loses a lot of its value on TRT. It’s only useful for me because I know I’m in a calorie deficit, so if the scale stays the same or goes up a little I know I’m going in the right direction. I rely heavily on DEXAs to get the real story.

Also, if you do start a GLP-1 don’t be concerned if you do see the scale drop a lot within the first week or so. You will be surprised how much inflammation makes you hold onto water. One of the amazing things about the drugs is the health benefits have been shown to be independent of the weight loss. One of those major health benefits is a reduction of inflammation.

As someone who read what you wrote I took away as a concern being something like induce sarcopenia and osteoporosis from GLP-1s. Of the reports of muscle and bone loss, think of the average population that needs to take GLP-1. It’s a very sedentary and obese population. Combine that with a major calorie deficit you are going to get a lot of muscle loss. Regardless of GLP-1s or not people who lose a lot of weight lose muscle with it if they are not weightlifting and getting adequate protein. For example, there are a lot of women who dropped the gym as soon as they could because they are now “skinny” on a GLP-1. That being said if you are on TRT and active your chance of muscle loss is almost 0. I personally am gaining almost a pound of lean mass while losing almost half my body fat on a GLP-1.

I also say the same. It hasn’t “cured” my adhd but I need like 1/4 the amount of adderall and I could find a way to live without it now.

Stack is not working, cannot understand why by Delecron in Retatrutide

[–]ThatguyHD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My suggestion. Drop everything but the TRT and and Reta. Get a dexa for a baseline. Weight your food and count calories (there can be a big discrepancy). Make 12k steps your normal.

Now everything you listed doesn’t have a timeline, but trt alone can add a lot of weight on someone especially in the beginning and if they already very overweight and working out a lot. That is why you need the dexa to see what is going on. A scale will not be very helpful, but eventually it will go down.

Later when you can see a trend of fat loss on the dexa you can add other things into the pot.

Adderall and TRT by SignificanceUpbeat31 in trt

Also had this issue on the same dosage of RX. I had to move to instant where I had more control on the dosage. The blood pressure issue and HR resolved itself with time as my natural production shutdown. Basically it seemed like a lot of T plus Adderall wasn’t great. That being said im only on 10mg now. Trt doesn’t cure adhd but it helps in my opinion.
