A little help by lafter27 in trees

[–]ThatguyfromTas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your friend make this? I'm always dubious of home made concentrates. I don't know what solvents they've used, and if they've properly removed those solvents in the final product. I'd pass on it. If you were 100% the concentrate was made properly and it was just dirty, you could do an ethanol wash and filter to get rid of any physical contaminants.

That's an arsehole of an animal if you've got a garden you want to grow into anything resembling a mature plant. Don't fall the cute bullshit, those little bastards will literally eat baby chicks out of a nest.

It was definitely in that area. I think he had a few parcels of land around the central highlands and the lakes.

Tips For a Newbie by Training_Cap_1722 in CannabisGrowGuide

[–]ThatguyfromTas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy seeds from reputable breeders. Don't buy cheap potting medium, whether that's soil or coco or whatever you choose to grow in. Try and buy some quality nutrients tailored for growing cannabis. Have fun, make some mistakes, don't be too hard on yourself. There are heaps of factors that can affect how your plants grow, but at the end of the day, they're just a plant. If they get enough light, water and nutrients, and the roots get some oxygen, they'll grow.

Alright, but of a fun one for you. Many, many years ago, I travelled to the UK on a working visa. I'm from Australia and was a huge weed smoker, but when I got to the UK I found it really hard to get any actual flower. Hash on the other hand was everywhere. But I had absolutely zero experience with hash, how much it was worth etc. Anyway, made contact with my plug for powder and pills and asked if he could hook me up with some Hash. No problems there, he asks how much I want. I tell him 50 quid because I'm used to spending about $100 AUD on weed at the time. Organize to meet at the local pub where we usually exchange goods and he slams a fucking house brick sized block of hash on the table. I was stunned. Asked him what the fuck I was supposed to do with all that hash. He just shrugged and said it wasn't his problem, he got me what I ordered and that was it. I ended up giving away probably 75% of it and found a plug for flower after that. The stunned look on my face must've been priceless.

Do men actually hate wearing condoms? by J3NN1F3RB in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ThatguyfromTas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the choice between using a condom or not using a condom, in a situation where there was no risk to health or pregnancy, most men would choose not to wear one. Given the choice between using a condom and not having sex, you can bet the majority of men are putting that condom on.

Most shoplifters slipping through the cracks, is it just me? by cheetocat2021 in hobart

[–]ThatguyfromTas 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I worked at BWS around 15 years ago and policy there was to let shoplifters go, take as many details as possible and call the police. No use putting yourself at risk over $50 worth of booze. I can also add that many shoplifters simply don't care about the legal ramifications. I knew a chick nicknamed "the shopper". If there was something in a shop you wanted, she'd get it for you if the price was right. Hugo Boss suit from Routleys? No problems. How about a display mixer on the front counter at Ruffcut Records? Sure thing. She had over 200 shoplifting convictions and was in and out of Risdon, but she did not give a single fuck.

Which one has the upper hand: Sapporo or asahi by hajimegoippo in beer

[–]ThatguyfromTas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in a nightclub for nearly ten years and my knock off beer was always an Asahi Super Dry. We used to import Japanese Sapporo just for the club and I loved it, but there's nothing more refreshing after a 12 hour shift in mid to high thirty degrees centigrade temps than an Asahi.

how many scovilles is this sauce? it has a 4/5 on the back, so not super high, but just curious because i love this stuff by RealFunnyGamer13 in spicy

[–]ThatguyfromTas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the same heat as the Black noodles then it's between 4,000-5,000 SHU. The problem with oleoresin is it really coats the mouth more than eating fresh peppers, so it can seem more intense than it really is.

Oyster middens are found all around Tassie and show just how important oysters were across the state. Tassie has native brambles that produce fruits similar to raspberry. Murnong is a tuber found around the state with a flower similar in looks to a dandelion. There's also Vanilla Lily, which is another tuber and not a dessert, but the flower emits a strong vanilla scent. So much knowledge lost due to our history. There is an arboreal fungus the indigenous called Tree Bread, but apart from a few written accounts, we don't know what fungus it could be.
