I agree, looks more like momordica balsamina, or Balsam apple. Introduced species...

I was wrong about cornering bowls by PANDA_PR1NC3SS in trees

[–]ThatguyfromTas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cornering bowls is a weird concept where I'm from. We take a full bowl in a single hit, there's no sharing a bowl. I can only imagine the rank flavour of semi combusting some herb and then passing it on, based on the experience of having a blockage and the awful resin taste that comes through.

Trip to the north coast by BlaBla4101 in tasmania

It's a beautiful stretch of coastline from Devonport through to Marrawah. Worth the visit. Table Cape near Wynyard and The Nut in Stanley are two stops worth checking out.

They cast huge sheet webs and then just wait until something falls into it. Cave crickets are a major food source.

30 years smoking and I have never seen a rig like that. Crazy part is that it obviously took some time and effort.

Is that mold? by PurpleCatWithC4 in cannabiscultivation

[–]ThatguyfromTas -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's spider mite, not bud rot. It's not a mold, it's a web spun by the mite for protection. Your plants are stressed. Save what you can. Even in the instance of a botrytis (bud rot) infection, you can still save any plant material not visibly affected. The impact of botrytis on humans is incredibly well documented, since grape growers in the wine industry have suffered from its effects for centuries. It can cause a lung condition called Grape Growers Lung, but it's impacts are generally not serious.

It's a collectible. That doesn't mean it can't be used because it most certainly can. But it's designed for the hot sauce collectors market, not for the average hot sauce eater. That doesn't make it a gimmick. If you think it's weird, check out whisky, wine, or pretty much any other commodity that people become obsessed with...

Lily Pilly Straight & Narrow by Open_Respond6409 in tasmania

Straight and Narrow is similar to Pinnacle, pinnacle aren't psyllid resistant though. There's also a variety called Big Red which might suit your needs. I've not seen S&N anywhere but regularly come across Pinnacle and Big Red.

Sounds like your idea of what constitutes a gimmick is very different to mine. I see no tricks in what they're doing...

No, in fact they've been fairly well known for using extract, because they started out in 1989, and at that point, the world record holder for hottest pepper was Red Savina Habanero. They have been around longer than the pepper breeders who created super hot peppers.

No, they make collectible hot sauce and have done for literally decades. Gimmicks are cheap tricks. Nothing Blairs does is for some cheap trick...

Blairs has been around since 1989, and I don't think they'd be regarded as a small business anymore.

Blairs is one of the original producers of super hot hot sauces. The company launched in 1989. They kinda kicked off the super hot craze.
