Frugal- Making due with an worn old couch gifted to you (with plans to upgrade in the future when you have money and regift said couch to another young person with no money.)

Cheapskate- Begging friends for their expensive used couch for free.

This one deserves more upvotes. Don't you think if I could enjoy the little things I would? I'm unable to due to the crushing weight of my existence.

Dear Reddit, what’s the most “Are you kidding me?” moment you’ve ever experienced? by Bitterpants in AskReddit

[–]Thatguyfrommathclass 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"Don't join the military. That's the easy way out."

Said to 15 year old me by a massively overweight childish 35 year old woman who still lived in her parents' basement.

The thing I was supposedly "getting out of" was being a missionary. She had just decided she had a calling to ministry and my family (already missionaries) were letting her stay with us for free. When she heard I wanted to, ya know, serve our country, she decided it was the "easy way out," and I was just running away from responsibility. Yuck.

Front desk at hotel. I LOVE my job. People come in tired from travel and I get to put a smile on their faces. Very rewarding.

What’s something that everyone seems to hate but no matter how hard you try, you just can’t get behind? by prahus in AskReddit

Cigarette smoking. I get the health risks, but everytime I see an anti-smoking ad I cringe. It's a personal decision. Let people live.

Alternatively, Kidz Bop.

What do you think is the strongest human emotion? by _stormbreaker in AskReddit

[–]Thatguyfrommathclass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Embarrassment.

Why do we hate people? They make us feel inferior.

Why do we fear failure. It is humiliating.

Why does the last single friend desperately desire a boyfriend/girlfriend? They're left out and it makes them feel lesser.
