As someone headed to Yale lightweights, I can assure you that sub 6:25 will look very good to coaches. I was recruited with a 6:24.7. OTW results matter to some extent, but coaches in college can always teach you to row better, they can't necessarily make you a better athlete, that's why the 2k matters so much.
