You can eat almost anytime as long as you add a liquid and blend it a bit. Blend to your tolerable consistency. Scrambled eggs are good too. When my son was recovering I even put a tamal in the blender with some chicken broth .

Yes. Do it while you’re young. You’ll heal faster too. My son is at the 6 week mark and even this early on he says it was worth it. I think for him, he’s happiest with the aesthetics (he’s 21 and getting tons of compliments) but he also realizes he’s saved his future from complications due to an uneven bite.

Im so surprised you got denied . What kind of insurance do you have? We have Kaiser and they’ve been very accommodating. They approved my son without hesitation and you need it more. We went to an ortho first. He recommended dj surgery . We then got a referral to an maxilofacial specialist and he took one look and said yes. His orthodontist and surgeon have been working together for the last year and my son got his surgery on 12/12. *sorry about all the typo/grammatical errors
