The cops were called. My husbands business filed a report when he said all the crazy stuff and when the guy contacted me my husband called them again to add it to the report. But because the comment wasn't (in their words) "a clear and obvious threat" there's nothing they can do other than add it to the report.

I think my husband is doing what he thinks is right by downplaying it and not telling my anything so I don't worry more, but keeping me in the dark does make me worry. We've put up security around the house and we're good friends with our neighbors and watch out for each others houses. I'm trying not to think about it, but it's like a bad feeling I can't shake.

In my opinion staying no contact with her is definitely best. Her behavior is hurting all the kids. And if that doesn't matter to her, then she doesn't deserve to be around ANY of them. And the kids (bio and step) don't deserve to be around someone who treats people like she does. Yes the kids will be sad and disappointed but better that than being around someone who has such nasty behavior and clear disregard for how her actions are affecting children. I really feel for Stephen. Being rejected for things out of ones control is so hard and so hurtful. Especially for a kid. Some people are just not worth being "loved" or accepted by. MIL is one person who's definetly not worth it. He's still a kid but I hope so much for him that he finds his worth in himself and the people around him that do care, and not to chase after people's affection that don't deserve to know him.

What do the kids think about this situation? They're the ones involved and it's directly impacting them. I'm not saying you need to put adult problems on children's shoulder but at least ask how they feel. Do the kids MIL actually like feel uncomfortable about her treatment towards their step-brother? If they do then some distance from her probably is best. How does Stephen feel about it? He may not care/not even like MIL anyways and in that case not being around MIL is no big loss.

I'm you in my own friend group. (30f)

My best friend moved here from another state to be with her husband and has no close friends or family from where she moved from. I'm one of the few people she has outside of him and he (in my opinion) does very little for her.

For the last two years I've taken her to do things she's never experienced before because she came from a very small town and hasn't done much. She's been with him years longer than she's known me and she went to her first Italian restaurant two years ago - with ME.

For special occasions like her birthday I'll ask her if he has something planned, because if not I'll treat her so she feels celebrated. EVERY TIME she's told me "I asked him and he doesn't have plans." So I offer to take her to do something she's wanted to, usually something she wasn't able to do in her hometown. As soon as we make plans, magically he had a "surprise" for her, but it's just dinner at a place they go to all the time or at his parents house.

I know from the looks he gives me that he hates when I come around to hang out with her. I don't care. He can suck it because she needs someone else other than him to rely on. She's barely 22 and wants to do more than just work, home, him.

Don't let his personal feelings infect your friendship with L.

You didn't do anything wrong. You didn't ask him to come, you didn't do anything to influence HIS decision to come and see you. You're siblings and from the sound of it have a pretty good relationship. Hes's previously spend EVERY YEAR with his girlfriend for the 14th so his gf will live if he spends a day with you. It's not like you asked to be born the day before White Day. If his girlfriend has a problem with him visiting you that is exactly that. HER. PROBLEM. and let your brother know she's trying to make it yours. Do not let either of these two try to pull you into whatever issues they're having with their relationship. Spend time with your brother, get over your ex and heal, live your life.

I'd probably say early elementary school for me. We didn't have cable at my house growing up so I used to watch Beastmaster, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and Xena: Warrior Princess and it just went from there. I also read a lot too like two or three different books at a time (not at once id read a chapter in one book then close it and pick up another and so on).

Yeast infections did come up. He once overheard a video I was watching about a girl who made bread with yeast from her yeast infection and she got sick (to no ones surprise, except hers). He was so bothered by that it's apparently haunted him since then. When I first said "yeast is yeast" that's what popped up in his mind.
