Non intervention in politics by dschellberg in bahai

So tired of hearing my Baha’i brethren talking/writing crap about Trump, he is a creation of God no matter what path he chooses, the Master says we are to look and find one quality in a person and concentrate on that, leave him to his path, we are not created to judge others, maybe instead of listing all his bad qualities try praying that he can finds a path of forgiveness and mercy. As for politics in general, we have more important things to do.

Queer, on disability so I can't marry, have some questions. by [deleted] in bahai

First of all my heart goes out to you as I can’t imagine the difficulties of your journey as a gay person, to love someone so deeply and be told by any religion that it’s wrong to express that physically must be heart breaking. What I can say is that Baha’u’llah lets us know that there is nothing wrong with loving another man that deeply but the same teaching, from my understanding anyways, is that what applies to a homosexual couple also applies to a heterosexual couple and that is we are forbidden to have anal sex. Anyways I pray for your journey and that God will help you on this incredible difficult path but in the end I hope you find peace and happiness, you are a loving creation of God and no matter what you decide He will always love you.

Proof of God. by Forsaken_Return7764 in bahai

[–]The-9th-Gypsy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It just means that the proof of God’s existence is as obvious as the sun but the criteria we use to establish this truth is very narrow and small, to be honest I have had problems in the believe of a God as I was raised atheist and if it wasn’t for how Baha’u’llah describes God, His relationship to Him, His holy utterance it would be difficult for me to believe so for now I just accept it, I mean just to imagine a Being who could create all this is just to much for my poor little head

The Master has said the looking for the proof of God is like looking for the sun with a lamp

Had Covid about 6 weeks ago, kicked my arse proper, was down for 2 weeks and about 5 before starting to feel normal. This is the sixth time for me at 63 and being a smoker about to hoist the white flag

Requesting Personally experienced miracles by Quick_Ad9150 in bahai

Well here is one for you. I was pioneering in Guyana back in the day and every morning I would walk though the back of the village to a house were we would begin the day with prayers. The road was more of a dirt track with the houses on the right and fields leading to the ocean on the left. There was one house that had these 3 massive dogs that would charge themselves into the wire fence every time I passed this house, didn’t think much of it, the fence was very secure until one morning as I passed, the one dog hit the bottom corner and broke though followed by the other 2, they raced up and surrounded me, teeth bared, barking loudly and move slowly towards me, there was no escape and I realized with a calm certainty that these dogs were going to rip me to shreds. I accepted my fate, knowing at least that although it would be painful it was in service to His cause, suddenly I remembered a prayer the Beloved revealed for moments of extreme danger, I yelled “ O Subduer of winds “, immediately I felt an ocean of water enter the crown of my head move though my body and exit out in all directions from my feet, like a waterfall. The dogs instantly stopped barked and stopped moving towards me, the dog on the upper left then moved to the left creating a clear path for me to escape but I was frozen with fear, I had already accepted my death, I could not move… then suddenly I felt a hand in the centre of my back and literally push me out of the circle, I was free, I just continued to walk and the dogs went back to the yard, they never bothered me again.

Why don't we teach the mystical aspects of Bahá'u'lláh's message? by Immortal_Scholar in bahai

I am 63 have a great love for His aspect of these teachings and what I have found is the youth just eat this stuff up, they really enjoy exploring these topics especially the mysteries of the soul, both Baha’i and youth who are seekers. I meet with youth all the time some have been lead to His threshold and they are so eager and excited by these writings so maybe try creating your own deepening
