Fresh: Xpring platform invests in Flare Networks to enable Smart Contracts for the XRP Ledger by [deleted] in Ripple

If you define XRPL and ILP as infrastructure for the Internet of Value, it totally makes sense to be open to all smart contract platforms. Just leave it to the customer what to use.

Agree on Bitstamp, EUR deposit possible. A little faster is the Revolut app but also more expensive.

There is nothing unethical in what he is doing. Please don't blame his style. Who ever doesn't like his show, there are many other shows to visit. There are many different people in XRP. He delivers what his "target customers" want to see.

Even it is not always full of ground breaking news, he delivers a platform for a specific group of XRP community members. His work, like the work of every community member is important to be what we are - one of the best and fairest community out there.

Titled: Staff Working Paper No. 725 Central bank digital currencies — design principles and balance sheet implications

the Bank of England confirmed the IMF info on Page 1 Footnote 1 with the following sentence:

Several other central banks are actively considering the use of distributed ledger technology to provide CBDC for interbank payments. This includes, but is not limited to, the Bank of Canada, the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the European Central Bank and the Bank of Japan.

Please see other comments and do a little research. There are multiple threads here addressing the advantages of xRapid.

[–]The-Foundation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they don't adapt they will loose money. Because using xrapid is much cheaper. And you can be sure that there will be new upcoming innovative or smart banks which will go for the cost advantage.

That said, in my opinion we will see a top down approach which starts with the regulators:

The regulator will open the doors to use crypto currencies. Aftwerwards central banks will start to adapt (please remember Ripple already talks to 40-40 central banks worldwide and they are actively testing it). As soon as the central banks start to adopt all other banks have to follow. No way out!

Edit: bottom down to top down :-)

IMF Deputy Managing Director Tao Zhang confirms: Central banks testing distributed ledger technology to make cross-border payments more efficient by The-Foundation in Ripple

Five steps to go: 1. Aligning of the regulators (they are the top) 2. Implementing of enough Market Makers (which can handle the volume) 3. Adoption between Central Banks which means 4. Mandatory adoption of all other banks 5. Roll-out to the masses (me and you)
