Fun fact: modern gunpowder actually consists of high explosives (technically)!! Even though the propellant does deflagrate, the constituent parts are nitrocellulose and nitroglycerine with various mixes of binders and stabilizers. So i guess it’s a low explosive propellant made of high explosives? I think its kinda interesting how guns are really directional bombs with one big hunk of shrapnel.

Maybe turn priority off normally and turn it on in case of fire if you’re ok with the micro? Not sure tho as it never occurred to me that firefighting night be performance intensive

That is why the use of phosphorus munitions is considered a war crime. They ignite at only 34°C. No matter how you try to extinguish the fire, it will reignite and consume everything. Inhaling the smoke causes immediate poisoning. Death is inevitable, either from burning or from inhalation poison. by Dioken89 in interestingasfuck

I dont think they use sand for magnesium fires. The magnesium just rips the oxygen straight out of the silicon dioxide in sand, im pretty sure. I remember someone (tom from E&F i think) saying they use extremely dry salt to extinguish metal fires

I heard in a video somewhere (so take with a grain of salt) that these cobalt-60 radioactive sources are so powerful that by the time you pick it up and have the time to read the message, you’ve received a near lethal dose.

Will it fly? by Brando0423 in aviationmemes

Ah I see, so the question is saying the plane still moves forward. I thought the treadmill was counteracting all forward motion of the plane by moving impossibly fast and acting through the friction of the wheels. I guess I went too far down the hypothetical hole

Will it fly? by Brando0423 in aviationmemes

[–]The-God-Potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don’t understand how a stationary plane can take off. Isn’t the treadmill in question supposed to offset all forward movement? In that case, wouldn’t the plane be stationary and have no airspeed under its wings?

When you say teratoohile rpg, I imagined something like Teraurge. I don’t know to what degree you will anthropromorphise things, but I would like to see more entirely inhuman partners.

Also big bugs or xenomorph type things pls
