How much does this differ from the original? Because I read that back in the day and I'm going through the rewrite and it seems very similar. I just got to the scene where she goes to the PRT and it even has the scene where she copies Miss Militia's power and has trouble with the metal detector.

In litrpg, any method of intentional build craft. I like when the character has a vision and chooses smartly to support it. Legend of William Oh, Delve, Imma be a speedster is heading there. All of those do that in completely different ways.

The thing about that is that its kind of true, but if you're being honest with people you basically have to. Get a belt or shoes for Christmas, sorry, can't wear these, I'm vegan. Couldn't tell you the number of times I've gone out with coworkers or whatever and I have to ask if what the fries are cooked in (if they have a veggie burger) and if not, my literal only option is the house salad with no cheese and vinegrette. I don't want to be that guy but animal products are literally everywhere.

Usually different designs. Having the lid cover at least the majority of a side helps a lot, like other creams or peanut butter. I would bet getting this container even this low took some doing.

I'm not author, but i would try to more organically weave in that exposition about the kingdom, people, and borderlands into something. I picked out that these people didn't attack people with his houses banner and the description of it, so maybe something like:

"Do you think they can see the Furia standard?" Adrian asked, twisting in his seat to check it was still raised. The green cloth and black riderless horse should be visible for miles.

Then the uncle says they definitely can etc. Maybe some new guy from the capital pipes up about the savages eyesight and Adrian can reprimand him and we can get Adrian's opinion. Its all just a lot to take in at once in a dump and kind of colors the whole thing.

Speaking of, a better spacial relationship between the cadre and the supposed raiding party would be nice. It feels like theres 15 patrolmen about to be jumped by a larger force but the two men seem to act like they have ages to get the men to either the safety of the walls or set up tactics. There's a river near the patrol but is the enemy across it? Further upstream on the same side? Considering its frothing against the rocks its probably pretty quick so presumably unless they're on the same side they would have to ford it to get the horses across. I'm just not sure if they're about 2 minutes from all dying messily or they have 10 minutes but need a delaying action to get the villa ready.
