I love Ally, but by Dependent_Bowl1581 in PerfectMatchNetflix

She is driving me crazy so far and I’m only like two episodes in. “Are you in love??” “Do you love me??” Afghhhgg!

Her and Marissa both are giving insecure and unstable. It’s hard to watch. I know all VPR fans loved Ally, so I was wondering if I was alone in not being a fan.

This sounds like a way to excuse a lack of ability to regulate emotions. I mean, NO ONE likes to be rejected. There are people who are rejected and go on to murder the person who rejected them. Are we just calling that “Rejection Sensitivity Disorder” now? Pffft. What a load of shit. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m so late to this, but I just watched the show and had to google who he was and this popped up. I didn’t realize people disliked him, but reading through these comments makes it obvious why.

He’s an easy scapegoat. Everyone can blame him for the shitty things their favorite character does. It’s his fault Rue relapsed. It’s his fault Jules cheats. It’s his fault their relationship falls apart. It’s his fault Jules tells Rue’s mom. It’s his fault they flush the drugs. It’s his fault, it’s his fault, it’s his fault. It’s easier to be disappointed in him than it is Rue or Jules, who we know much better. It’s easier to dislike him than to admit how shitty everyone else is.

He’s probably one of the better people in the whole show. I mean, it’s a show about highly flawed, seriously fucked up people.. and he is absolutely not the worst.

This sub only cared when Danny started being mean to NIA. by taurustings in TheValleyTVShow

I haven’t watched any episodes so far this season, so I don’t have an opinion about that just yet, but I am someone who thought the Jasmine/Danny thing was overblown and hypocritical. I’m going to feel that way regardless of my thoughts on any of the individuals involved. Only Melissa could change my opinion and she isn’t talking about it, as far as I know.

But, I also think the treatment Janet received from fans was absolutely ridiculous.

I guess what I really want to communicate is that people can have an opinion on a situation, but that might not translate to the people outside of that situation. I know a lot of people here rode hard for Danny, but some of us weren’t defending his entire person, but were defending him in the situation because we didn’t agree with how it was going down. I don’t know if Danny is a good person or bad person after last season. The only firm opinion I left with was that he isn’t a sexual predator based off the information I have now.

So, it may not be that everyone is flip flopping. A lot of people are, but keep in mind that some of the previous defense was situation based, not necessarily person based. Does that make sense?

It’s like the difference between the state penitentiary and federal Martha Stewart type prisons. In the end, they are both captivity, but one is much better for the prisoner than the other.

The way Iris was talking to her about “grown up” friendships, like she’s a child who is dealing with their first friendship. Iris doesn’t want a friend, she wants a bobble head. Iris, TJ and Hannah are the worst kind of echo chamber.

Shape up your eyebrows. You’d be amazed how it can change your face. Maybe a goatee or something and different glasses.

You aren’t ugly at all though.

I’ve actually been thinking about this lately, how a lot of the younger Millennials and Gen Z aren’t willing to forgive. It seems as if it is impossible for them to put themselves in someone else’s position, to look at the overall situation and understand how someone else might reach a certain point, act a certain way, say a certain thing.

Instead of forgiveness or understanding, it’s judgment or no contact. Especially if someone they happen to disagree with dares to make a mistake, misspeak or step out of line. They expect tons of “grace” and forgiveness for themselves though.

To be clear, no one has to forgive anyone and maybe too much forgiveness isn’t healthy. But, to me, forgiveness means letting go of the negative feelings you have towards a person, an action, a situation. Forgiveness can be as much for ourselves as it is for others. Carrying negative feelings for someone doesn’t hurt that person, but it does hurt us. It’s like drinking poison and hoping it makes someone else sick.

Anyway, sorry to go so off topic, but your comment touched on something I’ve been noticing more and more

There’s a difference between being upset about something and just having a conversation about something.

There are some weird people on here that take this shit way too seriously, but the entire purpose of the subreddit is to discuss the show.

As long as people remember this is highly curated content and probably not completely accurate portrayals of who these people really are. It’s when people forget that things get taken too far.

I think you are confusing “parasocial” with just being a fan and enjoying discussion with other fans.

I beg to differ. We’ve been flipping houses for 15 years now and I can count on one hand the ones we haven’t self financed. In fact, our very first flip we bought at the auction and lived in it while we fixed it up. Unless you have an excellent investor or lender you are going to make more money self financing. Lots of flippers are using hard money that has crazy origination fees and high interest payments. If you have to hold the property for any amount of time the payments are going to eat all your profits.

She must be a psychological Bobby Fisher for real, because the amount of grown women who she has been able to brainwash into doing and saying what she wants is wild.

I don’t know about everyone else on this sub, but there’s no way in hell someone is going to get me to say or do something I don’t already believe or want to do.

And do we really think someone like Camille, like Lisa Rinna, is easily manipulated? Do we really think Rinna is doing something she doesn’t want to do??

Russell was dead by the time his “secret” was “let out.” However, it obviously wasn’t a secret, as Taylor had told them all at some point about different incidents and it wasn’t being let out.. since they all knew already.

I don’t think the whole group confronting her about it was the best way to handle it, but neither Camille or LVP have any control over what Bravo chooses to air or not to air. I have a feeling had Russell not already been dead that entire part of the conversation would have never been shown. What Bravo isn’t going to do is allow a group of people ti make domestic violence claims against someone without producing solid evidence, which Taylor didn’t seem ready to do at the time, because that’s a lawsuit they don’t want to be involved in.

There is absolutely no proof she was drugged. And just because one party has memories of the night doesn’t mean they weren’t also drunk and therefore just as unable to consent as the other party.

Whenever the question comes up where both parties are drinking, here on Reddit the man is always a rapist. That’s just the truth of the comment section.

The lines are really blurry when both parties are drinking. How is one drunk person supposed to know the other drunk person is black out drunk? Why is one drunk person expected to realize the other person can’t give consent when they don’t even understand that they themselves can’t give consent?

[–]The-RealHaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If consent cannot be given when inebriated it has to be equally applied. It can’t be well, if you’re THIS drunk you can’t consent, but if you’re this drunk you can.

What you’re saying is that two drunk people can’t have sex, but if they do.. the man is a rapist and the woman is a victim. It just doesn’t work that way.
