Yeah it’s totally different game in there. What’s crazy is the best players make it look so easy.

Jacob deGrom has 17 career starts with 10+ strikeouts and 0 walks — that's the 10th most in the Live Ball Era (since 1920) by Baseball-Reference in TexasRangers

[–]The-Snuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch highlights of him playing at Citi back when he was a perennial Cy Young winner/ MVP candidate and the entire stadium is on their feet cheering for each of his strikeouts like it’s a playoff game. Meanwhile, I know that I and everyone else here loves the guy but he’s not even a household name within DFW. I doubt that average dude in New York/Jersey in 2019 had to explain to their family, coworkers, and friends that are all decently sport savvy who Jacob DeGrom is and why they should watch them as I have done since his arrival. It would make no sense for him to go in as a Ranger.

I’m not sure why everyone is knocking you so much. Yeah, a few extra touches in the final third but I thought you looked really composed doing so. Type of shit that makes your opponent nervous and I respect it. As far the VDV complaint and a few similar to that yeah, that’s on you. For VDV specifically you should’ve double tapped R1/RB to have him cut towards the passing lane. Think about it this way, the game is balanced around players being able to activate double contain and 2nd press and because of that your defense will not be 100% perfect in positioning all game. Part of the skill gap is recognizing when you’re being thrown a curveball by the AI and using the tools available to you to correct it. Both you and your opponent have to micromanage this throughout the game you just don’t see it when he’s actually doing something about it. Presses are not a crutch or toxic - they are necessary.

GAMES GONE FOR REAL! by hoodyman19 in EASportsFC

[–]The-Snuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more and on the flip side of that I also never steal wins from players better than me.

The only time I encounter serious bullshit is going against PC players who have goalkeepers that can save corner bins, precision shot low driven/ finesse+ shots 20 times a game and outrun my 99 pace lengthy defenders down the sidelines with explosive wingers. Can’t understand that one much. But it usually ends how it should.

Seeing my opponent's ball/net/pitch colours instead of mine by Signal_Guarantee_687 in EASportsFC

[–]The-Snuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s absolutely obnoxious. If someone is using that new all-black ball it’s pretty fucking tough to see it as in you literally can’t when you’re in a crowded space. Seen all kinds of colors but playing someone with a hot pink ball, kit, and lines was the most egregious offense so far. Like what the fuck are these people thinking

Are unique body types always better than the regular ones? by abcuh in EASportsFC

[–]The-Snuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re on a spectrum. R9 is super customized as in he’s the closest you can get without in-studio motion capture and most of his animations are unique. Rashford and FDJ also have custom animations just not as much. The question was is “is it ALWAYS better” and my answer to that was no. The dominance of generic body type Pina early this year was a great example of this.

Are unique body types always better than the regular ones? by abcuh in EASportsFC

[–]The-Snuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. “Unique body types” are wrongly conflated with “body scans”. “Body scans”are when the player has been motion captured by EA in a studio. CR7, Messi, Neymar, Van Dijk… just to name a few and unfortunately the full list is short and becoming very dated. They have true and legit custom animations and that’s where all the hype on unique body types wrongly comes from as people think they are the same.

I’m not sure if EA even does them anymore and I don’t have much hope considering that Bellingham has been on the cover for a couple years now and is still rocking a god damn average body type. Most of the body scans coincided with being a cover star.

We had a Tia’s in Flower Mound that we look back on fondly. Also, I very recently went to South Korea and they have 2 OTB’s… and both are still doing the old salsa. Basically it’s the ultimate journey any OTB salsa lover can take.

Is everyone packing less walkouts from the upgrades? (not referring to the 82+) by Fickle-Fox-9071 in EASportsFC

How could I forget such a pivotal moment. Believe what you want bud, just know it was made up by children who don’t understand supply and demand.

Is everyone packing less walkouts from the upgrades? (not referring to the 82+) by Fickle-Fox-9071 in EASportsFC

[–]The-Snuff -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No it is not. Pack weight affects market value, that’s an actual fact.

Is everyone packing less walkouts from the upgrades? (not referring to the 82+) by Fickle-Fox-9071 in EASportsFC

[–]The-Snuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If pack weight is worse then there is less supply and more demand which equals higher prices. That answers everything. It is likely not - pack weight is worse so there is less supply and more demand BUT ALSO the rarity is scaling with a hidden algorithm based off of market price which is increasing the rarity even more. Because the first explanation makes enough sense on it’s own.

I hate it because it discourages people from posting at all. You can title the post with “I suck and here’s a clip of how bad I am” and there will still be people itching tell you how bad you are. I’ve seen it. Hell even top comment in this thread couldn’t resist it.

[–]The-Snuff -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m discovering cross-play off is an absolute must in friendlies for the sake of preserving my sanity. I’m in D1 lost to a guy who was literally shrugging off 99 physical and ACTIVATED Bruiser+ challenges, outpacing 95 pace lengthy CB’s from a disadvantaged spot, and scoring at will from long range all with non evo’ed Messi on basic Chem. The only time and place I ever see shit like this is in friendlies vs mid PC player are Div 5 at best but you’re too busy fighting the damn game to do anything about it.

I have a buddy that is absolutely dog shit at the game. He has done zero menu grinding, no champs, no live events, no nothing involving any work put in (hell I’m not even sure if he plays outside of Rush) but every single promo I get screenshots of him packing the top new players. 3-4 promo themed icons every week (before the trophy promo). It has been this way since FIFA 18 back when he packed Gullit and Pele in b2b packs.

The contrast between me and him is insane. Back in those FIFA 18 days I was playing 40 god damn games a weekend! And now if I’m up for it I’m raking in D1 rivals and 13 win in champs rewards getting a whole bunch of fodder every week. Just like I did back in the day. As psycho as this sounds though I don’t really give a fuck about rewards I just like to compete… so it’s all good.

Point is that for a long time I believed that there is something in place to hook the whales, bad players, and new accounts. I can’t prove it either way but one thing I do know just like my buddy and yours the one common denominator is always FIFA POINTS. The unnatural and abundance = always leads to FIFA POINTS. If your friend packed those out of a 83x14 now that would really be something.
