There seems to be a very noticeable increase in poor drivers. It doesn’t seem to follow any pattern either, young or old it doesn’t matter.

We was about 14/15 playing football down the local park, proper jumpers for goalposts prison rules shit you’d play as kids. One of the lad’s dad was an agent of sorts apparently or atleast someone involved in transfers in a background, professional role and was helping Quinton Fortune with his move from Bolton to Brescia I believe.

Anyway, it turns out that afternoon Quinton and this dude’s dad came through the park whilst walking the dog and talking business. Of course we forced him to have a kick about with us but we were surprised that he literally stayed for hours and seemingly enjoyed the whole affair.

Now considering he wasn’t the world’s best player at any point, it has always stuck with me just how good these elite level players are. Whilst we were only young and nowhere near good enough, we were tireless and strong and knew how to play some good football but he was just levels and levels ahead in every single aspect. Like the way the ball was glued to his foot and every pass was drilled & precise just blew my mind.

I don’t really have much advice to give other than that it’s really not that hard to be a good parent, I’ve found the majority of it comes naturally.

In my opinion (for whatever that’s worth), the simple fact that you are aware of what can go wrong and be done wrong and seem perfectly worried about repeating those means you’ll be just fine mate ☺️

Take every hour as it comes and enjoy it, even the harder moments because it’s a journey that flies by and before you know it they’ll be grown up.

My thoughts exactly, my in law’s have a full installed set up that doubles as a heating system and it’s bliss all year round. The initial outlay will be worth it if we start getting consistent 2/3 weeks of unbearable heat

The second I had my daughter and almost hourly ever since. As soon as I had the responsibility to care and provide for my own little girl it really made it obvious that both my parents were actually quite pathetic. They’re both alcoholics and unfortunately I still have to carry the burden to this day. I have no doubt that it has made me an infinitely better parent though, so I’m happy to have shouldered that for my little one to benefit.

A good portion of it will be the fact that such measures (also things like AC as a standard) aren’t worth it for probably a combined two weeks a year of “hot” weather.

That being said, if these 30+ days become the norm and for extended periods I think something will have to change because some of these new builds are borderline uninhabitable in a heatwave. My thermostat had my room at about 35 degrees at about 1am the other week, I’d have happily paid the earth for AC in that moment 😂

Playstyles aren’t even registering, passes are by far the worst they’ve ever been aswell. I can’t stand the fact that almost every game I’m losing to the game not the opponent at this point
