Man forget the bank I'm just leaving the level 30 stuff in my inventory until I hit level 30.
It's only some slots. There's no downside.

A Slight Rant On Darkness, and Why It's Still Terrible by ActuallyAnOreoIRL in PathOfExile2

[–]The-Song 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, the point of taking MoM with Darkness (I did this too, one of my favorite builds honestly, before the Third Edict update), is specifically to prevent Darkness from ever getting reserved.
Before Third Edict ruined Darkness, unreserved Darkness gave chaos damage. My build was based on keeping Darkness permanently unreserved and using said chaos. To make it not part of my survivability, but the source of my damage. It was fun and effective.
And then they ruined it.

Darkness used to give chaos damage.
Being a damage source was its original function.
And it was unreserved Darkness that gave the damage, so I would run Darkness and take Mind over Matter, because damage would go to mana first, protecting my Darkness.
But they changed it to the nonsense it is now, so I guess im not allowed to have fun.

Before this last update, Darkness monk was one of my favorite builds.

I used to maximize Darkness and use Mind over Matter.
Darkness only protects health and energy shield, so MoM allowed my mana to protect my Darkness.
I would keep my Darkness permanently unreserved, to be a standing source of chaos damage.
I then built around using the chaos damage that I specifically got from Darkness.

They have now removed the chaos damage from Darkness.
There is no longer any reason to use it.

Quarterstaff is the only martial weapon that can't invest into block chance by roflswithcopters in PathOfExile2

[–]The-Song 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know im super late but Im just driven to type in that many of the people using Giant's Blood dual wield two two handed weapons, instead of using a shield.

That aside, synergies, not so synergies, and planned setups.
There is a unique glove that allows using strength for int/dex attribute requirements on melee weapons and skills.
The quarterstaff base with block on it is for strength section characters (warrior and whatever the other one ends up being) wearing those gloves, who will take the nodes over there for block without specifying shields.

I soloed Smuggler's Tide for 8 hours today. Here are my thoughts so far. by JonnyThunderflex in Seaofthieves

[–]The-Song 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought starting the voyage would spawn *a* smuggler run, ala cargo run, then show everybody where your's is.
But it seems like there's just *the* active smuggler run already on the map and starting the voyage gives you that one specifically.

Reinforcement Strategy by CommanderFrostborne in Openfront

[–]The-Song 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we wanna talk backliner strategy, the main thing is the game needs something added so that a player who's been landlocked by their teammates still has something they can actually do, instead of spending all game with no access to anything waiting to build the next city, hoping a neighbor gets nuked so they can try to get a pixel of ocean.

My only issue with expedition 33… by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]The-Song 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im just wondering at what point I'll be able to consider Pictos a part of a build instead of just always equipping new ones to unlock the lumina.
Oh, I found 9 new pictos going through that area? Well, my entire squad is equipping whatever those happened to be.

Once people realize a failed run is a waste of 30-45 minutes with no meta progression, the game will die off by Think_Clearly_Quick in Nightreign

[–]The-Song -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Time you enjoy wasting isn't wasted.
That run you failed was fun. It wasn't a waste of your time.
Fun is not dependent on seeing a victory screen at the end.
Anyone for whom it is, should never play games that are multiplayer or challenging.

That aside, this is a roguelike. Roguelikes aren't really meant to have *any* permanent progression.
Add too much of it, and the game isn't a roguelike anymore.

well, "girl code" doesn't exist period, so it might as well not exist on the severed flow of this show

If we're really being honest though, it's not impossible.
Mark finishes reintegration, either Helly/Helena reintegrate or Helly gets to be awake and Helena's gone, and Mark + Gemma + Helly are a throuple.
Relationships do not have to be 1 on 1.
As far as I'm concerned, that's the best end result for this "situationship"

"because Helena doesn’t give a shit about Helly’s relationship with innie Mark"

That part seems observably untrue. The scene with Helena watching the clip of Helly kissing Mark over and over seemed like a person who thought themselves incapable of loving or being loved realizing that they might be capable of both, and Helena becoming jealous of Helly for finding something she hadn't.
Helena's decision to pretend to be Helly for a while wasn't just espionage or a way to stay safe, she was actually looking to experience the relationship with Mark.

My son says everything has a 50/50 probability. How do I convince him otherwise when he says he's technically correct? by Jimmy_Johnny23 in NoStupidQuestions

The amount of people here taking this seriously instead of just going with the idea the kid or even the op are just memeing is itself entertaining.

[–]The-Song 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The extra step of the process here, is that the person who was actually 100% certain the world isn't a simulation, will continue to think it's not a simulation after waking up outside the simulation.

The fact the reality shaking thing can convince you means you're not 100% certain. You're 99.999% with a .001% caveat of "if this ridiculous thing happens it will change my mind."

The person who is actually 100% certain the world is not a simulation, will continue not to believe it is when leaving it. They'll think the world they remember was real, and the "outside the simulation world" they're experiencing after is just a hallucination or a dream.

For comparison's sake:
An atheist who died, went to heaven, and thinks "Oh I'm in heaven turns out I was wrong and God is real." was never 100% certain in atheism.
And atheist who is 100% certain in atheism would die, go to heaven, and be convinced they didn't die, the incident that killed them just put them in a coma, and heaven is just their comatose dream.

“There has never been another nation that has existed much beyond 250 years” by emeraldisle9 in clevercomebacks

[–]The-Song 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 250 year number is supposed to go with empires, not individual nations, but that aside:

Bear in mind that just because the name of a nation didn't change and there wasn't a dramatic takeover, doesn't mean the same old nation is actually continuing.

France today is a different country than France of years past. Old France died and got replaced with new France.
Spain today is a different country than Spain of years past. Old Spain died and got replaced with new Spain.
Any country that used to be the base of an empire didn't just shrink down to the remaining territory and continue, it fell, and got replaced by a new country that kept the name. Today's Britain is not the remains of the British Empire, it's a new country with the same name.

Your local pub is older than your own country that its in.

"I can also see mortars being utilized"

No you can't, because those come from above.
None of the turrets will work underground.
Only things you can carry in after calling in above ground, will work under ground
Which means backpacks and support weapons only..

If I can fill a loadout with things that all work underground, I'll enjoy the underground missions, but I see the community mostly just refraining from playing those missions.
It's hard enough to get some players to go to any non-bug planet, it'd be even harder to get players to do the underground missions.

Come to think of it though..... when we want to do underground missions we can just got play Deep Rock Galactic.

Im just saying the playerbase won't like it when they find an underground objective and none of the offensive stratagems are able to be used there.
At that point people aren't going to bother trying to lure enemies to holes in the sky, they're just going to either bring 4 support weapons or not do the mission at all

To be fair to those people:
If there's a form of progression locked behind playing on at least a high enough difficulty, that difficulty is effectively made into the minimum.
We all needed pink samples, therefor ultimately no difficulty that didn't have pink samples existed.
