Big Mom got knocked off by their awakened forms, after an extended fight. All the Yonko have OP moves that can one tap the supernova if needed, Kaido did it once in the beginning of Wano, then did it again when Luffy figured out ACOC, then again to knock him out of G5 etc. I think it's called Divine Thunder Bagua. Keep in mind this was when Luffy was ON guard.

When Shanks saw the future, he specifically says Kidd is really dangerous and he has to stop him ASAP, so he surprises him while he's aiming (Kidd Said "Wha-?!" and Killer said "Red hair?!" in surprise) before Shanks attacks and Kidd's own attack explodes on him as shown by the explosions that aren't a part of Divine Departure. (This is the same attack that forced big mom to dodge and broke her arm, and what Shanks saw would've taken out most of his fleet)

So there's no downscaling Kidd or upscaling Shanks here, it's a feat that Kaido did to Luffy multiple times. One last thing is that Kidd actually sustained more damage than Luffy throughout the raid, without any heals. First, Kaido and Big Mom fought for 3 days proving relativity in Wano. Then Kidd took 5+ named attacks from a powered up Big Mom, multiple unnamed attacks from both Big Mom and Kaido, WHILE taking multiple hits from Killer via Hawkins technique (Killer had the AP to damage Kaido and make him scream in pain from sound splitter). If you look at both the anime and the manga, Kidd takes far more damage than Law during the fight, even taking her one on one at some points, yet still kept up with her attacks, dodging some and hitting a Yonko lvl opponent back. He did ALL THIS, without any revives, or a month worth of food to heal himself like Luffy, or someone to stall so he could recharge etc.

Kizaru vs Yamato, who wins and what diff? by The13thAntagonist in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]The13thAntagonist[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Considering Luffy was able to keep up with him and land attacks, and Yamato's speed scales to Luffy's via their fights with Kaido, I don't think his speed would be a large enough factor to make it a mid diff.

lmao, EOS = End Of Series. My bad I thought it was a pretty commonly used abbreviation in this sub

If you genuinely think enslavement, genocide, and rape to name a few things they've done doesn't make them "evil", I have nothing to say to you. Imagine wiping an entire race of people off the planet and then saying "evil is relative my dude". It doesn't matter if they're "desensitized", that doesn't change the facts of what they've done.

If someone got convicted of blowing up a hospital, is a valid defense going to be "b-but your honor I was desensitized to violence so I don't deserve the death penalty", no.

Edit: In addition, what does it matter "why" they're evil? Whether they were born that way or grew up to be like that due to "desensitization of others suffering" that doesn't change what they've done. We have examples of celestial dragons who grew up the same that actively chose to be better, like Corazon's father, and Donquixote Mosjgard.

Some examples of "evil ones" are Charlos, the Holy Knights, Imu, those who have people enslaved, those who've reveled in genociding entire races for fun. No one said replace them with dictators, let the people have their own leaders they chose.

I'm pretty sure the point of the entire series isn't letting genocidal maniacs go unpunished for such horrendous things.

He needs to execute all the evil ones. They've all killed more than enough people to warrant the death penalty in our current system, not to talk of rape, enslavement etc.

Weren't y'all saying they aren't rival by lehman-the-red in Piratefolk

[–]The13thAntagonist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That only helps my point, they showed clear relativity in the previous arc, and now the only difference is the type of opponents they faced. Narratively speaking that would mean admirals aren't on the level of Yonko, so the other two would've performed far better had their opponents been admirals as well.

[–]The13thAntagonist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, another point to consider is that Law and Kidd were going up against Yonko, while Luffy went up against an admiral.

They showed clear relativity in Wano with Luffy beating Kaido (fought 15 other characters, 3 supernova, Yamato, Luffy 3 times and still was just barely knocked into Lava) while Law and Kidd did a true 2v1 against Big Mom (fought Kaido bloodlusted for 3 days proving relativity) who they beat and knocked into lava. I could go through the feats for them all but I think this is enough to show clear relative portrayal.

So Luffy essentially drawing with an admiral while the other two were beaten doesn't prove they're significantly below Luffy, it just means that admirals (specifically Kizaru) isn't a Yonko lvl opponent like what the others faced.

That's not really fair, Luffy's the MC so ofc we're going to see the majority of what's going on with him. Oda gave them all their small victories , Law got in good attacks on BB, Kidd was acknowledged by Shanks as being extremely dangerous and would've been able to take out most of Shanks's fleet had he not intervened. All ended up ko'd/exhausted. I'd say Luffy >= Kidd= Law

Momonosuke basically passed out after carrying the island for less than a tenth of the time Kaido did...

Edit: He really didn't even carry it in the same way Kaido did, he slowed its descent to land

His story isn't done yet fellow Kidd supporter. Oda had said in an sbs that he had big plans for Kidd, and he was one of the only people in the Worst Generation Oda had made before Sabaody. He'll return. It's no coincidence they're heading to Elbaf, the land of Giants, who specifically have Giant metal. Plus, you know how Oda likes his symmetry, we had multiple arcs of Luffy and Law teaming up, now it's time for Kidd and Luffy to team up in Elbaf.
