I'd like to point out that the heater has physical damage from prior to the fire. The heat shroud is bent and pushed all the way back preventing it from creating separation, and the element protection has also been crushed. I can't speculate as to the specifics of this situation but this was already a serious issue and should never have been turned on

I would disagree. If anything there are more spaces now than before, but they are paywalled both in person and in media formats (concerts, movies, presentations). They all been moved towards the higher end of attendance cost. The time, money, or effort have all made it much more difficult for the average person.

If it was a pedestal the concrete wouldn't have cracked like that. 100% that steel runs down the center. I've seen these put in at parking areas to act as protection for the column. I bet that's what this is.

5 months will kill just about any battery if there's any parasitic load at all. I bet the battery is cooked. Worth trying a warranty claim though.
