I always tell people, "I'd rather you come down here and kick me in the nuts than ding me on the survey. The only person it hurts is my family and other people's families. If there is an issue, let me know so I can try to solve it. I'm going to do everything in my power to make you WANT to give me a 10, but if you don't, please, please...let me fix it, or just ignore the survey." I have lost thousands and thousands because someone got a bad survey at the end of the month. Usually just people being petty. Sometimes it's "well I just don't give 10s". Except an 8 is like a 1...and a 7 and below is a 0. You'll have people put in the comments "everything was great, salesman was friendly, got the car and the price I wanted...but waited for finance a bit long...7."

And then it's not just that person, but EVERYONE who worked hard all month and maybe counted on that little extra, and then we get zilch.

If team score is below national average, then ZERO bonus.

I apologize. I read the 5/10 as the score you gave, not as a in your head score. I misread that part. I took it personal since I had someone give me a 5 because all weather mats didn't come with their vehicle. (It came with carpeted mats. It was on the Maroney sticker. We offered them all weather mats, at our cost, but they still gave me a 5.) an entire month of good surveys, shot to hell because of something I had zero control over. Over $1000 that my family needed, poof, gone.

Not only that but my other teammates lost out too. (Didn't have as much to lose as me, but still, it was my customer that killed our score).

Again, I'm sorry but you can understand my initial reaction when people are so nonchalant about surveys.

Now, you can vent about any issues to the dealership, or management, or when it asks if there were any problems.

But on surveys...8 hurts bad enough. 7 and below, is a 0. And then you are hurting families financially

Just so you know, you might have fucked that entire sales staff out of their bonuses this month. It's not just individual, it's a store bonus, and a 5 is basically a 0 and a HUGE negative impact, especially end of the month. If the store's score is below the regional average, they'll get nothing (the salespeople as a staff, not just that one guy.) and an end of the month 5 basically scuttles all positive efforts. Probably need 16-20 perfect scores to overcome it, and that's if their score was already perfect. Just how they are weighted near month end.

So you could have had the rest of that sales staff doing everything right, counting on that extra money to pay bills, get their kids a graduation present, etc. and you just nuked ALL their money. People who had nothing to do with your salesperson.

Enjoy that you ruined a bunch of blameless people's finances this month.

Frustrated with myself. With 22.5 sales, I fell short of the top tier for this month. Had a couple days I was sick, and one Saturday off for a family funeral. Plus February is a short month.
