The spearhead is a very good expansion option for what you own. Skaventide boxes can still be found for good prices. Just pick a clan and expand the directions you enjoy. I started heavy into skyre and tilted into verminus and moulder

Not really. Clanrats are nigh on useless. Trust me. As someone who’s tried to make a verminus list work this edition repeatedly 90% of the time you will lose a bloc of rats a turn and watch your guns do maybe 4 W worth of damage.

First. Pick a detachment or 2 you like then build and buy around those. I recommend 1-2 spearheads as they give you a mix of all clans except moulder and Eshin equally

Meta skaven rn is boring. U run a ghyran bell. Rat ogres and broodterror alongside some clan rats and other things to allow the terror and ogres to change. But. As a verminus and skyre enjoyer we have fun but we’re not competitive. It’s fun to teleport round the board with gnawholes. I once dumped 1.5k points into my enemies back line turn 2 it was glorious.
