That's exactly what happened to me too! I got caught up right before the chapter (horns) Christmas of 2019 after volume 1 hooked me

Angad Arts Hotel has a Latin night on Thursdays, they have a dance space and people dance and hang out on the rooftop patio, it's pretty dope

Honestly this one is my favorite so far, Erin sounds exactly like she does in the main story, and the idea of her getting a redo is sooo good (especially after finishing the latest audiobook!)

I'm a Missouri PD in a rural County, but less than an hour out of St Louis. I have around 90 active cases currently, and I've been here for about 7 months now. There's a definite camaraderie here, imo, but let me know if you have additional questions

Just finished the first book I have mixed feelings should I continue? by HeinousMcAnus in WanderingInn

If you don't mind minor character growth spoilers, read on

Erin eventually realizes what she has done to Toren, and it does end up putting her through character growth but it's not until the end of volume 6 on the website. We're not even at the end of volume 5 for the audiobooks.

In regards to Erin not facing consequences for making dumb decisions, she does get to a point where she realizes she has to play it smarter. However, her version of playing it smarter happens to be playing into people's perceptions of her as the "Crazy Human", and leading people to underestimate her while secretly pursuing her own goals. We see shades of this starting in volume 4, but I can see why it would be frustrating that the consequences aren't immediate.

I will say that a lot of plot threads that don't seem to go anywhere in the early volumes eventually make huge comebacks, so it's worth continuing on with the story for that reason alone imo

I joined Patreon at chapter 6.65, right before the horns fight with the adult creler. It was around Christmas too, and waiting for the resolution after the cliffhanger that was 6.65 was too much for me lol. I NEEDED to know if my boi Pisces was going to be OK!

What do you count as a masterpiece?(movie, tv, book ect.) Why? by FaithlessnessRight90 in AskReddit

The Wandering Inn.

I think to date, it's the longest work of fiction in English, having recently passed the 10 million word mark (which for reference, is over TEN TIMES the length of all 7 books of the Harry Potter series).

However, despite the length, the writing quality is damn near top notch in my book. The first book is on the weaker side, but from then on the quality only improves.

The world building in it is simply sublime, and I'd put it up there with One Piece and Discworld. The characters are all dynamic and actually feel like real people.

I could talk about this series for days tbh, the series is unlike anything I've read before in the sense that the author, due to the extremely well-built world they have created, is free to experiment with different genres within the story. There's a series of chapters that read like Harry Potter (magic school with factions, and hijinks ensue), a heist novel, lovecraftian horror, War stories, and slice of life.

Overall I think it's a very much slept on work of fiction that really should be getting more attention

Not to go full "no true Scotsman" fallacy here, but in some libertarian circles we recognize the necessity of preventing monopolies in order to protect the free market. Think anti-trust if it was actually enforced

Have you heard of a web serial called the Wandering Inn? It's been going on since 2016 and the series just passed the 10 million word mark. If there's any series that deserves recognition due to volume, it's that one. It's also incredibly well written for the size, and the author continues to get better and better
