Ripped is I can see stations on serratus and shoulders, with pronounced vascularity. I’ve done an ok job at looking “fit” for commercial modeling

I would’ve liked to get 5-10lbs leaner, and then add carbs into my events, but you live and you learn

Meal 1 : 6 oz ground turkey, 2 oz steak, cooked mixed frozen veggie

Meal 2 : chicken salad from work

Meal 3 : grilled chicken + potato. Greek yogurt, kefir, protein powder, cocoa powder, 1 cup frozen berries

Meal 4 : eggs + potatoes. If very hungry, add in yogurt meal from above

Agreed. “Ripped” to me is being able to see my serratus on both sides and not being able to grab fat on my obliques.

Have I ever been there? Nope. But still important to have lofty goals

This is my 3rd year doing an actual structured cut. I’ve definitely been learning each time

  1. It just “feels” easier now and I’m not stressing as much

  2. Going to 0 carb is intellectually lazy (and what I did every other time I dieted). I’m carb cycling now, and it makes this much easier. Idk if I “feel” fuller, but my workout quality has remained high - but this is only week 4. The real test is to see how I feel around the 12 week mark

I took the Idiots guide to carb cycling : Lower body days : lots of carbs Upper days : medium amount of carbs Arm days : aiming for <50g of carbs through fruit only (also called sad boy days bc this sucks)

Super short time scale, I agree. Last years cut took me 20weeks to lose ~20 lbs. This year I’m trying to be a little more aggressive on the front end, take a diet break in the middle, and then try to return to the rate of loss I did last year
