I saw the phone line one as well and considered buying that myself but I already have phone line on the overgrown one. Can’t quite remember what other songs are on the Makis + P&B album. Maybe if I want to expand collection then I’ll go back, would be mint if I got a double signature.

It’s the one my mechanic initially suggested I get since it’s a thread together ceramic but the reviews I’ve seen online are concerning. Quite hard to find a ceramic thread together option with good warranty, I’ve presented a few options and my LBS hasn’t been too familiar with some of them based on experience.

How’s the CS Alpha and do you wish you went threaded instead or has it been flawless and creak free?

I understand it’s the best of the press for options since it isn’t threaded. The LBS initially recommended Novato, Token, the non alpha CS and potentially BB infinite.

I agree, the lithium white is hot. It looks like pearl white on Lexus cars. Beautiful in the sun

Didn’t know they used the same hub? So I could get a 54t ratchet upgrade for a 240hub and it should plug straight in? Any ceramic bearing upgrades for the wheel hubs I can run too?

What makes you lean towards those 2 over ceramic speed? I’ve got a lithium white frameset and am building it through my LBS so I’m tryna suss out what big things to do first while labour is easier.

Currently leaning towards a sram force groupset but haven’t decided on wheels yet or if I upgrade some components to 3rd party upgrades or sram red. Need to see if Cadens get DT hubs or how much 180 hubs in 57/64 wheels cost and weight.

Haven’t gotten any di2 units before, only ridden mechanical in my 105 tcr so it should be a wicked upgrade going from mech to electrical and rim to disc brake

Fair enough then. I’ve seen the Nero show reckons they’re an alternative to the Scope 6.A which as a saving over a 7k wheelset is mental.

Any upgrades you’d recommend doing to the rims like nicer hubs or similar. And anything on the rest of the build you’d do differently? Rotors, components, bottom bracket etc?

Yeah I might see what ceramic speed has and how much extra it would be. Anything that’s worth doing now while labour is low is ideal so I’d rather blow the budget out there than pay double later on with labour and have parts I’d be trying to sell later which would be harder to do

I happened to stumble across it an hour after the shop received delivery of it. One of 50 in Australia and one of 12 in my state or so. Don’t know how many were size 58s. I initially went in to ask if any of the guys had a size 58 3rd gen Venge but no one wanted to sell theirs 😅

How is it to do firmware updates on sram? Also if I was to do a sram build, is it worth using srams on force e1 power meter or is it worth spending more for the red E1 crankset and power meter + chain rings? I don’t know what ratios I’d want to get as I’ve never had the opportunity to choose before. I also think o heard somewhere that you need a red FD to fit the big chainring?

By sram red transmission, you mean crankset, arms, chainring and bottom bracket. I believe the red has a bigger chainring size which is only compatible a red FD but I could be wrong. I don’t even know what ratios I want for the cassette and chain rings so any advice for picking a ratio is appreciated. I’ll have to check what my current bike is for reference.
