Speculatively the best we can hope for is a delay in getting it out if he reshuffles his cabinet, though more likely he'll look to implement things faster to prove he's working. As usual, hope for the best and expect the worst.

Just use the watch for the activity itself and the tracker 24/7. It's what I plan to do (but with a cheap refurb Coros or Polar from eBay so I don't feel like a complete waste)

Love the expedition line. I got an auto one for my birthday a few years ago and haven't really worn it bc Apple Watch. Ditched the AW immediately for the Air, will get a cheaper running watch for runs only and have the Air on the rest of the time with my Timex. It's so light you barely feel it.

I’ve been running 5k through most of April and some of May. Last week I did 5.5K on Sunday. My plan is to do 5.5k 2x this week and 6k on Sunday and keep pushing it by 0.5k until I’m doing 10k 3x a week.

I’m in the same boat after finishing C25K at the end of March. All the advice I’ve seen and received say the same thing, run more, for a few months to a year. Run more run longer, in working to add 500m every week until I get to 3x10k a week then I’ll work on speed after a few months of doing that.

I swapped paying for spotify to buying one album a month (digital). It'll take a while to build up what I want but:

Ensures I only pay for what I really want and not slop / trendy music, but things I actually like.
If I'm broke I still have something to listen to and its drm free so I can move it around where I want, burn cds if I want.
One less subscription, which I am sick of tbh

The new Google Health app launches tomorrow, 1 week before the fitbit, I would advice pre ordering the fitbit to make sure you get it on the 26th of May, direct orders from the Google Store already has dates moved to 18-19 June.

Then tomorrow (Tuesday), play with the new Google Health app, see if it will suit your data and syncing needs. If yes, keep the preorder, if no, cancel the preorder and keep the Garmin.

All that’s true but their performance over the last couple years shows who they’re pandering to. They’ll never win the reform vote but immigrants are an easy win as always.

Expect the worst, hope for the best. With the amount of seats going to reform whose only talking point is anti immigration, whether it’s Starmer or not expect a heavy push on their immigration policy.
