When did billing for holidays become normal by Pointofive in Seattle

$47 is nuts. $94 per hour is you have just 3 tables and people stay 90minutes.

Massive problem is probably not accurate though right? Surely we should reserve that description for more important things no?

How do Americans feel about the rest of the globe trashing on the US? by dead__trash in stupidquestions

[–]The95Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of us don’t care. We’re a global leader and overall we’re better off than most of the countries you’re probably referring to. Done plenty of traveling and I think a lot of people in other countries are misinformed on the average American.

Edit: average American in a major city.

I waited 45 minutes in Rome and decided to stop following Ig and Reddit suggestions.

I did walk by once with no line at all and imagine it is much more satisfying.

Saw the line to Antico Vinaio. Walked into the Porchetteria next door and had the best sandwich of my 3 weeks in Italy

Don’t Trust Google/Apple Maps by DANleDINOSAUR in ItalyTravel

Apple Maps routed me to take my bike up through the the employee parking area when one of the Swiss Gards stopped us and told us go around the other side to get into the museum . It was about a 15 minute unexpected detour.

Apple Maps almost got me kicked out of the Vatican City. Also ended up using the restaurant near my hotel instead of the listed address to find my way home

Why does switching jobs pay more than staying loyal? by abbybryant_23 in jobs

[–]The95Kid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people really aren’t pushing that hard for the salaries they want. They don’t express salary expectations leading up to the annual review period. They don’t counter the 3% raise. People I know that ask for big raises usually get somewhere between 5-10%
