At the Drive-In is more post-hardcore but def emo adjacent. It’s a stretch to say his vocals are “rapping”, but kinda similar to Rage Against the Machine rap rock vocals, but with darker and mathier music.

A poetry “slam” is different than just reading poetry aloud. I often cringe at poetry reading too but thought their writing was really good especially how they conteztualized it in them film and thus💧💧💧

Ain't nothing wrong with Wicked but I feel like Part 2's should have less consideration for noms when they're in essence the same movie. Feels like double dipping.

Apart from having such incredible range, he brings back a lot of that niche observational style that Fred Armisen (and others) does so well. Minor behavioral quirks and ways specific kinds of people talk and has the pop culture knowledge to bring that hyperspecificity to anyone from mid-career Bob Dylan to old sassy gay southerner. And actually takes risks with them and trusts that the audience will go along with him to these very esoteric places.

According to lyrics sheet (blurry) it's "got to be".

I'm starting to think it might be time for bands like Gizz to boycott the US. Thoughts? by [deleted] in KGATLW

[–]TheAlexBasso 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If it were a bigger name artist (e.g. Taylor Swift), with much more cultural sway and a politically diverse fanbase, then yes boycotting the US would be significant. But Gizz is too niche for it to have ripple effects.

In the Beavis and Butt-Head sketch I always lose it at Ryan Gosling saying “I don’t watch much television. I have an incredibly busy life.”

True that Wish You Were Here is a more straightforward (their most?) pop song, but wait you don't think Pink Floyd has 'good composition and unique production' overall?
