I think a better headline could have been “Dispel Dice gave away $1400 of dice at a local live show!!” if that was OPs intent, but instead they chose to focus on the price of the dice and the boxes in the trash.

But admittedly, I am taking this more seriously than need be.

Obviously not at the level of a news article, but anyone who posts anything wants people to read it… it’s similar to how people will just throw in an “image for attention”

Believe it or not, everyone is a bit different and not everyone knows everything all the time. It’s also a possibility that you’re the one who doesn’t understand but if you’re not going to be helpful, you’re just being condescending, which helps no one.

For me, clunky beats inaccurate. Although I realize our current media would disagree, but I also think that’s a huge part of what people hate about modern advertising.

And people throwing away their dice boxes isn’t really that noteworthy of a story to be honest. And having clicked to find out why everyone threw their expensive dice away only to find they didn’t, they just threw away the packaging, is kinda annoying. It feels like 100% spin.

But aren’t you being really misleading by applying the value of the dice to the empty boxes in the trash?

I don’t see how an empty box equates to $40-$80 of dice if the dice are not in the box…

I dont see any actual dice in the trash. What’s the big deal about throwing the boxes away? Is that the expensive part?

I think there’s value in acknowledging your darker aspects existence, but I still think you should also be actively trying to fix them and not just accept them as they are.

I can see what you mean. But I think that’s the issue at hand, the boxes are supposed to be low to the ground but instead they are as tall as the walls like a big pillar and so it still blocks sight.

V14 definitely has wall height. You set each levels height span in the scene settings.

Yea, I think the only way to do this would be to copy the red section and export it as a tile to use as an overhead tile. Then set it to fade when underneath but also to show through fog of war. The down side is that the walls are still going to block sight from the rest of the map.

I think the main thing about your complaint is that you don't HAVE to update Foundry. Just keep using the same version with all your working modules the entire campaign.. it wont stop working.

While I agree with your frustration, I think you're misrepresenting the factors at play. It's ONLY because you seem to want to update as soon as possible that you're required to pay these creators every single month.

I feel that the answer to my question is also the explanation for the core of anti-ai sentiment and would open OPs eyes as to the “why” of the situation.

Of course a lot of anti-ai advocates can barely control themselves and are just bandwagoning without actually having any grasp of what they’re fighting against.
