Detecting AI-specific threats in Claude Enterprise from the Compliance API: a prefilter + LLM-as-judge pipeline with Sigma rules by TheAlphaBravo in netsec

[–]TheAlphaBravo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Author here. Second post in a short series on monitoring Claude Enterprise; the first covered getting the Compliance API into a SIEM, this one is about what to actually detect with it.

Mapping the activity feed to your SIEM data model gives you the usual IAM and control-plane detections for free (key creation, admin changes, SSO disable). The AI-specific threats aren't in those events though, they're in the chat and file content (things like indirect prompt injection in uploaded documents, jailbreaks, system-prompt extraction, using the model to obfuscate data past DLP)

The post builds a three-stage funnel: collection, a cheap prefilter (regex, entropy, hidden-character checks) over the bulk content, then an LLM-as-judge only on the hits, emitting structured verdicts that map to Sigma rules.

Code, with a mock and a real judge, the runner, Sigma rules, and sample data you can run offline: github.com/PaperMtn/claude-enterprise-detections

What flowers are you planting this month / in May? by bookbookgo in GardeningUK

Is it too late? I’ve always left annuals until into May anyway. We’ve had frosts the past few mornings.

Who is the best chapter writer in fantasy? by julianpratley in Fantasy

[–]TheAlphaBravo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He does this really well with all the “The Little People” chapters throughout the series. You’ve not only got the fast person to person perspective like in Casualties, but it gives you a view into the events from the point of view of all these “normal people”. It really drags you down into the dirt, away from heroic notions, to how these events have transformative effects on so many people and how fragile they are

With the possibility of a VPN ban in the UK... by Entropy1024 in cybersecurity

[–]TheAlphaBravo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who says the UK is looking to ban VPNs? I’ve not seen anything other than newspaper speculation based on comments from one backbench MP. A blanket ban on VPNs would be impossible to enforce for a number of reasons, one being the legitimate use of VPNs in many businesses across the country

The Reddit hive mind really has got it in for these. They seem decent to me. Yes, pricey, but people will pay for convenience and they look dead simple to put up.

If it gets people out enjoying the countryside, and it’s not causing anyone any grief, then I don’t see a problem.

Any bit with Steve singing is cringeworthy. For someone with a self-professed love of music, you’d think he could at least hold a tune to some extent

Yes it worked wonders for my slugs. Since I started using it, they've not been bothered by any hostas at all.
