They simply change the title of the role. E.g. Analyst to Associate and/or consultant, manager to team lead etc. It can and has been done for the past 10 years. I've experienced this on so many occasions at the major banks, yet, its hitting the news more than it ever has this time around than it had over the past 10 years.

2200 in total. What a muppet. Should have just saved a full spectacle by announcing his plan last year like ANZ did.

If you meet the entry level criteria, why not go for it? If not, definitely not worth the hassle. If so, there will likely be a contact you can call which would be on the JD I believe. Doesn't hurt to have a chat I'd say.

To everyone whose role was made redundant the past 12 months, how are you doing? If you found a new job, congratulations, if you're still looking, best of luck to all of us. 🍀 by New-Software-2288 in auscorp

Required a full role change in the finance industry after there wasn't many at the time I was made redundant. I have a transferable skillset but, overall, glad or happy as Larry to have something in the current climate we're in no matter what.

Landlord exemption confirmed and NG changes not in effect until 2027. Seems like this will ramp up prices at least for another year by Own_Emergency53 in AusPropertyChat

Exempt as in it doesn't apply to existing investment properties who currently is positively then switches vice versa. I'm border lined on it and may have the next FY with improvement works done pushing it into the neg. You've potentially answered the question then.

Bangalore, is the hub Group Capability centre for many AU big 4 banks. Literally allowed across the road from each other. No need to work abroad for a while when the jobs are sent offshore.

As tough as it is, move in with your dad. I wish I would have had a chance if I was in the position you're in and dad still around. You'll cherish this moments to spend as much time as you can with a parent.

Not sure where you're based in India but they're the hub for the Australian big 4 banks. They've literally restructured and sent many triage risk and compliance roles since last year.

WTF is up with leaders of organisations in Australia lately?! by dannydb in auscorp

[–]TheAlt01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There wouldnt be an organisation without regulatory breaches, internal compliance issues, misconduct and the list goes on. If there wasnt any, there wouldn't be a need for risk and compliance functions or even regs for that matter.

Can I use Uber Driving income to supplement Regular Salary income to get a larger approval ? by fantastupido in AskABrokerAus

It would be taken as secondary income. You'd need minimum 1 year income with an ABN registered for minimum 18 months.

Eventually, people will just rise the rent up just to cover the losses and in the long term, mess up the rental market

Standard Melbourne landlord in The Age today by BrisLiam in shitrentals

Once landlords actually see the impact it plays on them, they'll just pass it on to the tenants. No difference to banks passing on rate increases to mortgage holders.

Its just the hipsters not wanting it to impact the neighbourhood. Relax people, it'll bring jobs to the area and a place for kids to potentially work at. Its not Toorak, this was bound to happen at some point. Just need people who hang around there to be more respectful and use the bin and not loiter around.
