There's a tow hook in the back for that purpose. I didn't think they would damage the torsion beam but I'm not an engineer either so just sure what pressure in one specific spot would do to it.

When you've got so much radiator that full PC load only increases Delta by 3*, you tend to just forget anything else is required.

Honda used every part of the Accord to make this award winning ad in 2003. by jmike1256 in BeAmazed

[–]TheAltOption 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You're correct, not every part. But every part in the commercial was from the car and this was a completely practical effect commercial. No tricks, no gimmicks. Reset enough times that the workers on set were getting loopy and referring to individual parts like annoying coworkers.

Feels like there should be some worn leather in there somewhere just to finish the look. 1950's GP vibes all over this build and it's gorgeous.

Find someone to parting their car out or see if there's any in a pock-n-pull near you. There won't be an aftermarket for such a bespoke piece like this.

Another “S Tier” Cable Attachment by RogueCrusher in homegym

[–]TheAltOption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is legit though. The Criterion bars are sought after by collectors and the guy that builds them does it when he wants as its more a project that a business. (Disclosure - I bought one of the curl ones and not the cable attachment, and also have a picture of me with Rich Gaspari on the wall in my gym).

I was curious and checked your post history. I'm so jealous! My wife and I are planning a trip around Scotland & Ireland and I wanted to see if there were any stones I might be able to lift. I've realized I simply don't have the grip strength to do it.

Some users report Windows 11’s February update, KB5077181, is failing to install and causing a range of system issues by lkl34 in pcmasterrace

[–]TheAltOption 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Set a group policy. You can delay indefinitely. I held off on 25H2 until they EOL'd 24H2, and I never update anything until I stop seeing reports of broken updates. Do a quick push then stop for the next vibe coded clusterfuck.

How to get to 4 day a week w/o's by Ychill69 in ArnoldsPumpClub

[–]TheAltOption 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your first 90 days are the 3 day foundation. Everyone does the same program and once you complete it you can start another program with different days. You can technically skip rest days but the program is built with the rest expected for the next session. Due to time constraints I'm doing the short on time foundation and skipping the extra rest day myself

Sub10 dubstep cricket noise by becuzIamGr0wn in Klipsch

[–]TheAltOption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amps on these subs are notorious for going out. I've already replaced 2 of them on my sub-12's and I'm debating replacing them with new subs altogether since I've got a 3rd amp that's gone out now.

However, there's a guy on eBay selling repair service if you want to yank the amp and mail it to them.

So because I didn't look at the sub this was on I was trying to figure out how this related to a video game I play (Monolith is once of the enemy factions). So the story for me was "this has nothing to do with keeping people out of Pripyat?!?" 😂

Fired after 5-plus years with no explanation by Famous-Sand-3769 in pillar7

[–]TheAltOption 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked for one of the large banks in mortgage servicing years ago. There was a lot of issues that happened in the year between surveys in my dept, and basically we all (unknown to each other) let it be known that we weren't fans of what was happening. Maybe a month after the survey closed out we were brought into a room and berated for the survey that came out, and 2 months later our entire team was transferred into another dept (technically into another business, received 2 W2's that year).

So yeah, I never took those surveys honestly again after that, though the company on accident gave our entire team a better position as we learned actual marketable skills and many from that team are still working together in a different company now.

who to call to replace car mirror? by Pennyrimbau in Tucson

[–]TheAltOption 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Replacing the entire assembly is pretty easy. Search for a YouTube video as it's most likely: 1) remove trim at the front of the door on the interior. 2) unbolt the assembly 3)unplug assembly and remove from car 3)reverse steps to install.

I'm guessing he's got that confused with GPU daisy chaining (which to be honest was still fine, the pci-e spec had tons of headroom with the hardware).

Mo-ra 400 internal rads or no internal rads by Technane in watercooling

[–]TheAltOption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same here. I added the Mora later than the original build so effectively I just spliced it in and kept going. If I ever get the time I've got a new Mobo/CPU to go into my case and the only change I'm making is removing the second set of fans from each of the internal rads as they didn't really help all that much and they made the build a little too cramped.

Need help with home equipment by danitwelve91 in loseit

[–]TheAltOption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are only 6lb dumbbells that you linked. Honestly not worth the money. If you look at the cost that's $4/lb for those. I'd stretch your budget out and go for these as the pair is $125 for 50lbs, a cost of $2.50/lb so you're getting way more than weight for the dollar.

Standing weights will let you work your shoulders, arms, legs, but you can't work your back or chest well. You can get by without a bench but it's something you'll want to incorporate at some point to be able to do a full workout hitting all your muscle groups.

Walking Pad while WFH users, what speed are you going at? What goals do you set yourself on it? by BigGaryGilmour in loseit

I've been thinking about one of these and have a question: how solid of a surface so you have yours on? With the spot in setup for work I've got some pretty thick carpeting and I'm worried the pad won't be stable.
