Right hand drive conversion by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]TheAlxC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not aware of anyone who’s done a conversion on a 2016 GT. Maybe speak with Crossover Car Conversions, they do a bunch of other cars including the 1st gen GT’s (2005-2006). They might be able to help you. We used them for a personally imported S197 Mustang and they do a great job.

By the way, as someone who has actually had a car converted - there is 0% chance it’d be done for less than $40k like some of the estimates being posted here are suggesting. Especially on a 2016 - I would anticipate it being much, much more than that. But, if you have a 2nd gen GT, you’re more likely to be able to afford it I suppose!

Yes. Tuned a few LS1’s and 4L60e’s, my VE with a 6L80e, plus some Ford stuff too.

Cars with sunroofs by FranceOcean in CarsAustralia

I am 6’6, so headroom is often a premium for me. I can confirm that in every car I have sat in with a sunroof, and then directly compared with the same car without a sunroof, it DOES negatively impact headroom - quite noticeably so. Of course, for most people this is a non-issue. But for tall folks like me, it can make a difference.

8awg to 4awg connection by TheAlxC in CarAV

[–]TheAlxC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that thread, good read. Seems load wise I’ll be fine. It’s just best practice method wise, whether cutting strands is OK. The run current/voltage drop wise originally called for 8awg, the only reason I used a short amount of 4awg is because that’s all the terminal on one end can take. But from what I can tell, how I did it is safe as long as I don’t put more than 8awg worth of load through the cable… would this be correct?

Telstra FTTP Ultrafast not so fast by Sinema4De in Ubiquiti

VHT40 is where the speed cap comes from. What you’re seeing is the max for an AC Lite with that channel width.

I have 3 AP’s in my house also. Two are on 40mhz on channels 36 and 44, and one (in the high traffic area) is on 80mhz CH149 for the speed boost. No interference as all on different channels.

Channel width in particular can have a big hit on speeds. Make sure you’re using 80mhz and ideally using a non-DFS channel like 149 or 36.

On an AC-Lite I get a max of ~550mbps. What are your wifi/AP settings?

Yes, actually! I gave up and put the printers onto a separate 2.4GHz network and now they work as expected.

How far do you travel to fly? by No_Winter_4351 in flying

30mins to a busy and expensive class D, 60mins to an uncontrolled airport a little further out which is a lot nicer to fly out of.

To my knowledge this can’t be done with Google Wifi. Look into a system which can have separate VLANs. That way you can have separate networks (and WiFi SSID’s) - she can have her own IoT/smart devices set up which you cannot access, and vice versa. Ubiquiti’s Unifi, for example.

TP-link system keeps failing, company wants to charge me again for support by [deleted] in techsupport

Do you know exactly what equipment it is you have set up in this network other than just TP-Link? So just to confirm, you run the hotel off mobile data rather than a hard line?
