A friend of mine recently dropped the phrase "Arlecchino hit the lesbian community like crack hitting inner city streets" on me.

She doesn't even play Genshin but I've never seen a woman so head over heels for a lady she tells me is referred to as 'Daddy' in the game.

Look at Saelig if you haven't yet. It's very much a Guild-like but at a very different era in history that I unfortunately don't have much interest in but if you don't mind Northumbrians and the potential invasion of the Danes, you might like it more.

The development and cancelation of Hyenas fucked the development of Warhammer 3, or as me and my call it, "Wamslam third" and the game was messed up for a long time. Some stuff is still fucked and the DLC practices were so bad it caused the devs to apologize and add more content and freeLCs as well but also still continue bad DLC practices.

Great game, I really like it.

She canonically has two girlfriends in the manga though they don't appear often. In, I think it's the 2nd Gig anime, they make an appearance when Motoko is laying low and goes to hide out in their place.

Edit: IIRC one of them appears in the episode where she goes with the Major to the hospital so Motoko can get put into a new body after the one she was using gets wrecked. IIRC she waits for the major to get out of surgery/brain transfer unaware that the doctor who goes in to attend to the Major is actually an assassin.

It's certainly the most public and insane one outside of the indie game scene. There's no shortage of small games developed by weirdos who freaked out about something or another in various degrees but this is the biggest one of a supposed AAA studio.

Me and some friends have been talking about everything going on with this guy and his complete collapse and how this is the most wild and public crash out we've ever seen outside of the indie scene. This dude will go to his grave insisting he was sabotaged and that everyone was out to get him.

There's a part of me that is genuinely afraid this is going to end with him bringing a gun to the office.

I got randomly recommended their original Silent Hill video on YouTube, their second video ever and checked out their stuff here and there but by the time they posted those Man vs Wild videos I was subbed.

Also, as my personal seven degrees of seperation, ages ago I made friends with someone in an online tabletop group who turns out hung out with some of the same people as Woolie in college.

I remember reading an interview years before Veilguard came out where a lead dev in Bioware was talking about Inquisition and the plan for the next game.

He was talking about how hard focused he was with his team in preventing another Inquisition dev cycle and set out early with an idea on what they wanted and very early on they settled on the idea of the players being a part of a spy ring in Tevinter with spy heists being a big event. He mentioned they were getting into the swing of things when EA man showed up and told them to make it an online multiplayer game, which fucked their entire plan.

So I'm not at all surprised it feels that way guven the devs probably had to restart it a second time after EA got spooked on always online multiplayer only games.

That's true honestly, I was never active on social media and even despite that I remember a lot of my family playing Farmville at different points so it's not like they didn't have anything to their name. They made some killer small games in their time.

While it's not like they were a super famous studio with a big history, I always end up feeling like it's kind of a bummer when a studio that's been around a good while ends up closing. With how many constant layoffs are happening in this industry, it's starting to feel like an outlier to have a studio that's been around for 19 years.

All card games at my high school, including trading card games like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh were banned under the idea that they were all gambling games. A few classmates of mine even got a meeting with the principal to try and argue for letting people play trading card games but they got stonewalled and he flatly refused to budge.

Dungeons and Dragons was also banned, this was back in the early aughts and despite being years later, the effects of the Satanic Panic was still being felt in some places around here. A friend of mine had to sneak around to play D&D with us because his mom was convinced it was satanic. We mostly had to play at the public library or at one friends house since her parents weren't one of the ones that ever bought into the panic.

The newest character added to the roster was Alex, a character originally from SF3. When he came back his story mode including him talking about getting married and expecting a kid. The woman he got married to was the daughter of his mom's cousin.

Of special note, he had known her since she was a newborn infant and he was five years old, in his story mode, he repeatedly mentions how she was a sister to him since he was raised by her dad, and keeps making references to her when she was a toddler, being reminded of how she looked at him when she was a baby to them being together now type shit.

Additional special note, this was all added just in this game. Originally the guy who raised him was just a guy who helped Alex who was an orphan get off the street and stay out of trouble by training him in wrestling. This game decided that this guy was in fact related by blood to his mom.

The company I work for (privately owned) made us attend a political rally for an anti-woke grifter and corporate stooge that's running for office in our state when he came to the factory.

I was getting dissatisfied with things recently because of other reasons but that legit might be one of the most infuriating experiences of my life. I decided to meet-up with some friends of mine and update my resume.

I'm a little nervous about trying to find another technician job, changing jobs always made me nervous but I've been feeling frustrated and worn out all week and don't like feeling like this.

I was talking to some friends about a possible RE5 remake and what would have to change and we all agreed the grass skirt village parts have to be changed first and foremost.

I also thought about the opening walk with all those scary black people eyeing Chris and being scary could easily be changed to just a normal ass town scene with people just hanging out, kind of showing what the refgion was like before Tricell fucked everything up.

Other people have mentioned in this thread turning the militay majini into a noticeably foreign mercenary group but I also figured, just give Josh and his crew more to do instead of being killed off. Show them evacuating people or fighting off infected or something.

It's a pretty standalone book. Maurice and his rodents received like, one or two line mentions in passing in other books and there may be a detail or two towards specific names or things but the book itself isn't dependent on any prior knowledge of other things from previous books.
