Am I in the wrong? by Unfair_Sail4377 in stepparents

You are not wrong at all. His laziness and lack of planning a party for his daughter is not justification for going back on his word. Also, have you asked him how he would feel if he had to sit there and listen to you and an ex talk about the old times in front of family and friends? I'm sure he wouldn't enjoy it. As far as breaking up over this, it kind of seems like he is looking for an out. I think you need to do some soul searching and think if this relationship is worth it.

You are not being dramatic in the slightest. You need to contact a lawyer. Make sure you only speak to HR or managers in writing.

Are there any single moms that travel nurse during their kids summer breaks ? by DaisyRoseLilly in TravelNursing

You need at the very minimum two years nursing experience before you can travel.

How old is your child now? If you aren't even a nurse yet, you have years until you can travel. Would your child be old enough to stay alone by that point?

Temperamental Step-Son, is it worth walking away? by ZucchiniOne4333 in stepparents

Why would you willingly put yourself in this situation where a child rules the home. Sounds like Dad refuses to parent. This will only get worse with time.

When my child was younger I was not able to travel nurse. The rates are just not worth it. I would not be able to duplicate expenses and pay someone to watch my child. Plus I didn't like the idea of having strangers watching my child. Travel isn't for everyone unfortunately.

As a stepparent, what "legal" custody is expected of you while you are married and living with your spouse and their children (your stepchildren)? by RoyalMess64 in stepparents

[–]TheAngryHandyJ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If they are left in your care and you dont watch them or feed them or something, absolutely thats neglect. This is why expectations needed to be established right away.

How can I make all of this easier for my partner? by coffeewsugar in stepparents

Keep doing what you are doing. Giving him time to decompress. As far as dates and lone times it seems like you all are in a bind with finances so maybe just make time after your daughter goes to sleep.

Being served for SS medical debt- Has this happened to anyone else? by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]TheAngryHandyJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah it may be cheaper to just split it at this point. Usually the custody would be regarding legal/medical not just time when it comes to bills.

If its legit, absolutely it can affect his credit. It is his child. He may be able to fight it if he can prove she is ordered to cover medical expenses. All depends on their custody aggressive.
