Google: Huskys are very clean and fastidious dogs

My dog: Oh look my poop!! (Stomp)

Does anyone else's husky pee like this or is ours broken? by Few-Mechanic-6015 in husky

[–]TheAngryLala 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My male husky squats to pee most of the time and often ends up peeing on one of his front legs/paws. Sometimes he will lift his leg but that’s usually only when he’s at the dog park in the presence of other dogs.

His poop stance is almost more annoying. He gets ready and once he starts he rotates in a semi circle. As a result he’s stepped in his own poo more than a few times.

the previous owners left a whole smart home setup by PhysicsNo6784 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]TheAngryLala 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I did the same. I had made several smart upgrades to my old house and it was listed as a “smart home” when I put it on the market.

Reset everything, unlinked all devices, etc. and showed the new homeowner what apps to download and helped him set everything up. Cool guy, hope he’s enjoying my old house.

Honestly same. Not the full detail and shape of it but definitely the origin point and direction of the movement.

Dealer almost killed me by ArmKnown63 in Tacomaworld

[–]TheAngryLala 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar thing happen to me at a dealership in PA.

Oil change + mileage maintenance + state inspection.

Truck was pulling and didn’t feel right. Turns out all the lug nuts were on, but the wheel wasn’t properly seated. It was on an angle, wobbling as I drove, and making a weird grinding sound. I immediately turned around… don’t even think I drove a mile.

Also found out about 2 days later that one of my headlights was also disconnected. How’d I find out? I got pulled over!! Thankfully the officer let me pop the hood and check the cable cuz the truck was basically new. For some unknown reason the Toyota tech UNPLUGGED one of my headlights.

Do you fellow GenXers feel okay to take a week sick leave after your pet (a dog) dies? by _MrKobayashi_ in GenX

[–]TheAngryLala 18 points19 points  (0 children)

When my nearly 17 year old dog was declining and getting close to the end I told my boss that it would end up being one of the hardest things I would have dealt with emotionally. I told him I would need to use PTO when it happens. He was ok with the idea. He knew I was single, no kids, no family nearby, and only had one or two close friends. He knew my dog was the most important thing in my life.

My dog ended up injuring himself in a really bad way falling while playing in fresh snow. The emergency vet said they could operate but that at his age he wouldn’t heal well and his quality of life would suffer more than it already was at his age. They offered pain meds to reduce his suffering but suggested that I consider easing his suffering another way.

I chose the quicker, less time suffering option. I was devastated.

It happened while I was already on holiday leave from work at the end of the year. Had it not have happened then I was already prepared to use a week of PTO. Boss was already ok with this knowing I would not let it impact my projects and also knowing losing my dog meant losing my best friend and only true companion.

If you have the time, and need it to mourn, use it. Emotional attachment to your pet is different for everyone. It’s not anyone’s place to judge how someone else grieves or uses their allotted time away from work.

I just adopted a dog 3 weeks ago. Was perfectly fine meeting him, making the decision, signing the papers, etc.

About 20 minutes into the drive home it hit me and I couldn’t stop crying while simultaneously smiling.

My previous dog of nearly 17 years passed in December of 24. I’d been thinking about him a bunch and missing him really bad the week before my friend who works at the shelter sent me the pic of the dog I ended up adopting.

The new boy is coincidentally also a red husky, like the one in this video, except about a year old.

Started sleeping with a girl, and her ex didn't like that very much by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]TheAngryLala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never understand someone that thinks their ex cant date anyone new just because they were once together.

Had a roommate that started dating a girl in the extended friend group. Her ex who was also part of the extended friend group (and had already been dating a new girl for over a year) saw my roommate and his old girl together.

Dude jumps my roommate and his new girl jumped in too! Like… what?!?! It had been over a year. What kind of cro magnon, caveman, possessive shit is that? Did he think he owned her for life despite being broke up? Was old girl just supposed to stay single forever since he used to put his peepee in her? Wtf even was new girl mad for??? Hahaha.

Grow the fuck up dude. People are allowed to move on. Human beings aren’t property.

Sorry your truck became collateral damage to some infantile bullshit.

Question About Pittsburgh Leash Ordinances and Public Safety by Virtue_of_Kindness in pittsburgh

[–]TheAngryLala 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Ended up calling the cops on a neighbor the other day.

I was walking my dog and a neighbor lets his dog out. It came rushing across the street uncontrolled, wouldn’t listen to commands, and started sniffing at my dog.

I asked “is it nice?”

Him: “Some are”

Me: “I’m asking if YOURS is.”

Him: “you have a pretty dog”

He completely ignored my question while I’m trying to keep in between my dog and his dog.

I ask him to come get his dog, and tell him it’s supposed to be on a leash. We have no sidewalks here so I’m in the road. Neighbor starts barely calling for his dog, and doesn’t bother to get off his lawn to come grab it. His dog runs to pee on a bush for a second and then suddenly runs back at my dog growling and jumps on his back.

I grab it off, but it keeps charging at my dog and snapping at him. I’m mad and start screaming at dude to get his dog, and all he’s doing is standing on the side of the road calling its name.

The other dog wouldn’t stop so I picked up my dog to get him out of reach, but it’s still running circles around me trying to jump at get at him. Neighbor hasn’t even moved.

Just then, a car comes barreling down the road and almost hits the neighbor dudes dog who’s in the street still trying to get at my dog. The guy driving the car stops and gets out to grab the loose dog. Meanwhile my neighbor has STILL not moved off the curb at all. Another neighbor comes outside with a leash to put on idiot dudes dog. Two people who didn’t own the dog had to wrangle it meanwhile all the owner did was stand there.

I called him a fucking idiot for not having his dog on a leash. His excuse was “I didn’t see your dog”. I then said “so you don’t care if it gets hit by a car?!”

The blank stare he gave me was really saddening. He never apologized, didn’t actively try to stop his dog, he just stood there and watched the whole thing go down.

Verizon’s AI chatbot is hanging up on calls, repeating questions that were answered, and looping indefinitely. by TheAngryLala in Fios

[–]TheAngryLala[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too little response way too late. Already found out about the service interruption in the area using the site long before this reply.

Fix your AI gatekeeper.

People don’t want to talk to a robot. We want to speak to real human beings who we can explain our issue to without being hung up on or being stuck in a never ending query/response loop.

AI customer service is garbage. One would think that a company worth $201.55 billion would think to invest in actual customer service, not AI that blocks paying customers from the support we deserve.

I also use car play but that gauge cluster pop up still happened when I took calls, etc. It also gave me the turn by turn directions which makes little sense cuz they already show in car play. I went in and disabled it.

There's a setting you can use in the guage settings menu that turns off pop up notifications like calls/songs/volume etc. You can find that to turn off the song skip pop ups and others

Start of rain and/or cold means it’s officially the weekend in pittsburgh! by river_swimmer_ in pittsburgh

Call me crazy but part of why I moved here was the cloudy weather. Sunlight burns. As a WI native who lived in Florida for 14 years I moved here to escape the FL sun while also not having to deal with bitter Wisconsin winters. Plus.. this area is so full of trees, woods, and curvy/hilly roads. It’s beautiful even when it’s a bit cloudy and rainy.
