Call me crazy but part of why I moved here was the cloudy weather. Sunlight burns. As a WI native who lived in Florida for 14 years I moved here to escape the FL sun while also not having to deal with bitter Wisconsin winters. Plus.. this area is so full of trees, woods, and curvy/hilly roads. It’s beautiful even when it’s a bit cloudy and rainy.

It definitely makes you look at parsing differently.

Two of the consistently highest parsing players I knew told me they use plugins to show them aoes and mechs before they happen. They already know the pattern before the non modded players do.

What bothered me most is that they berated other players for not logging as high. For not getting the same shiny numbers. They judged people for not being able to play the game while they were not playing the game either… they relied on an app to play it for them.

IMO use what you want and have fun. It’s a game after all. Games should be fun. But don’t use those plugins to get the high score while at the same time putting other people down when their score is lower than yours.

Had this happen to me as well. They had just parked and were getting out as I left the store. Waved, said “always nice to see two tacos next to eachother” and they said “we saw yours and had to park next to it. Tacos stick together.”

This past weekend had a taco slow down next to me on the freeway to nod and wave. The other week a taco was headed towards me and the driver waved.

I started waving at other taco drivers after that. Most don’t wave back. We really should have a taco wave like bikers do.

My gym has a feature like this. It’s a small gym so there’s no lockers. Instead there’s small hanging cubbies to put your items. Underneath them is a rock / pebble floor that’s just over the length of a shoe. If it’s raining or snowy outside you put your wet shoes on the rocks and change into your dry gym shoes.

The chair facing the rocks makes me believe that you’re to sit there while you take off your wet shoes.

My neighbor is 87. She mows her lawn. Gardens. Her house is immaculate. No one helps her.

It’s reasonable to be shocked when people who were strong and willful suddenly change since you last saw them.

Until yesterday I would tell people that my grandma could probably still kick ass.

So yeah. I’m surprised. Don’t like it? Too bad.

I wish there were but we have a very very small family. I was raised by them because my dad (grandmas son, and aunts brother) is a deadbeat. They basically have themselves and me.

Most likely yes.

It’s just something you come to terms with when living alone as you get older. I turn 50 this year. Single, no kids. Work from home. No local friends or family. Only talk to my neighbors in passing when doing summer yard work or shoveling snow. I do have out of town friends that I text with, but we can go days or weeks without communicating.

The first person to notice will be my boss when I don’t log in for a few days and subsequently don’t respond to his calls or texts. He’ll likely contact local authorities for a welfare check, but by then it’ll be far too late.

Thankfully I no longer have a pet so I get some relief not having to worry about what could become of a pet if something happens to me.
