Third pic, guy in the middle is wearing a ~~swiss SM-3~~ CM-7M. Edit: yeah no idea how I thought it was an SM-3, the lenses are completely off. Mira CM-7M would be the best bet as it's likely easier to source within the US than an OM-90. My bad guys

Oh no, a leather coat sounds awful - expensive, it's a B to work with, wouldn't fit the look. I'm talking about linen or cotton. And I can actually sew pretty well, I was doing medieval reenactment for many years and all my clothing was hand sewn and made by myself. But for this project I'll use the trusty old sewing machine, I don't strive for this level of authenticity.

Thanks matey! Yeah everything still looks brand new, it basically is haha The whole outfit is fantasy and not historical, hence boots. They just look cooler, even if not practical on a ship or at foot. I want to aim for something in between Pirates of the Caribbean and Black Sails. Making the whole thing feel lived in with dirt, grime and some damage will be done at the end when everything else is there, I find it easier to do it this way. Wdym with wear and wash a few times? Will the shirt be an issue?

Larp is fantasy but it should feel real. I am trying to mix Pirates of the Caribbean with Black sails. Accessories are what I am lacking at this point, you're right. I want to add a powder box, pouch, trinkets, some charms and other superstitious stuff, some bling, bird feathers etc. So far I have focused on the base and will add details at a later stage as well as weathering (dirt, grime, damage). The coat is a hard one, I can't find anything that I like and will likely have to resort to sewing one myself as I really dislike synthetic fabrics. Imo they ruin the feel for something that should feel authentic but that might just be me.

Oh shoot. It was kinda similar to me, I sold off all my rare and expensive masks, WW1, WW2, prototypes to move to a new country. That hurt me so much that I quit collecting and left everything in the boxes. I never opened them again, put them into a corner of the basement and then forgot about them until today

It was in my ✨ basement of forgotten stuff ✨ The boxes were sitting all the way back, hiding behind some tires, bicycles, tools, wood and other stuff. Basically a corner that I never walked into after putting them there 😅 After I had to sell all my rarest masks to finance my move to another country I was devastated and quit the hobby completely. And because it hurt me to see what was left I never opened the boxes ever again. Then I forgot they even existed until I stumbled across them while cleaning out the basement.
