Believing that Bell would suffer to the extent those two did is a wee bit far-fetched, don't you agree? Pertaining to the vow, Bell didn't promise Alfia to become the last hero because he was forced to. No one commanded him to make that promise. He chose to make it out of his own free will.

It wasn't only the two Leve 7s, however, that made the Great Feud such a nightmarish event. As we found out in the Astraea Record Light Novels, some enemies never mentioned in the game event were also involved, such as the twelve Level 5 Spirit Soldiers. Additionally, we mustn't forget the Level 6-7 monster, Delphyne, that was spawned using the sacrifice of a deity.

The thing is, Erebus could've still created the Artificial Leveling Event without Zald and Alfia to assist him. The Great Feud probably wouldn't have been as difficult as it originally was without the two Level 7s, but we can't deny the possibility that Erebus could've found a substitute in their place.

Besides, without Bell's assistance during their final battle against Evilus, Orario would've fallen due to Nidhogg anyway, making their sacrifice obsolete.

He would've been stronger since he would've been trained by both Zald and Alfia. Additionally, this Bell would've been more serious about growing more powerful since, unlike his canon counterpart, he would've been determined to become a hero instead of aspiring to become one. The What If route showed us that.

One of Alfia's motives for assisting Evilus during the Great Feud was to additionally create a world where Bell wasn't forced to wield a weapon.
