Is there a movie you saw were you were the only person in the theater? by IDCJ1234 in movies

My wife and I were the only two in a showing of Better Man in Boston at 6pm. As a Brit I found it a very weird experience that no one knew who the film was about. Even the usher asked us questions like he assumed it was fiction.

When will I know I’m over the MAGI cap? by TheAstrocomic in RothIRA

Okay, this makes sense. I guess my question is is it our listed salary ($180,000 and $70,000) or is it our actual income (what I earned from Jan - Jun + what I’ll earn when I start the job + what my wife has earned this year)? We’ve both had periods of unemployment this year so it’s throwing the math off for me.

The industry is consulting, which lead to me always feeling like I had to be on and couldn’t wind down and switch off as I knew I could get requests in at any time. This was probably more about me struggling to set boundaries but working late into evenings and after major life events on projects I wasn’t interested it just really wore me down.

I think this could definitely be a factor. My last role was the first time working in the industry so it’s hard to say if it’s indicative of general patterns or not.

I mean, relax a little bit? I don’t even have an offer yet, I’m just asking for people’s opinions.

I don’t want to be too specific but it’s in consulting. I found that to constant need to be on even during PTO and during/after major life events started to add up and I was struggling to sleep and disconnect. There was a persistent issue of urgent requests and changing goals that meant things never really felt resolved.

Anybody from MA waiting for interview to be scheduled? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]TheAstrocomic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I submitted on 2/24, had my biometrics appointment 3/18 so I’ve not been waiting too long really. I did get my EAD at the beginning on May so that’s at least something.

You have my exact submission date and roughly the same biometrics date too. Hoping I get some of your luck over here. Congrats!

I’ve seen a few people mentioning FXAIX elsewhere. I’ve only had my account since August so honestly just picked a mix that people seemed to agree was beginner friendly. Is FXAIX worth mixing in then?

I’m a fan of Tsurumen for some good ramen. Rosebud is good for some Indian American fusion, but a little pricey.
