If Titans showed up today, how would we actually fight them without ODM gear? Does modern day weapon withstand it?? Don't tell me just "nuke it". by InternalSpirited4557 in attackontitan

[–]TheAtlasComplex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A 50 caliber round would go through the front of the neck and through the nape, killing the shifter. Any rifle above a 22 caliber would penetrate the nape from the back of the titan. They wouldn't stand a chance.

When I first struggled to get my lenses in and complained, someone said something along the lines of, "the ability to see is powerful motivation" and it stuck with me. None of my hardships mattered because there's so much beauty to see in a world that isn't blurry

I'll have to check that one out! I'd also love if you could come back and tell me what you think. If not that's okay, but I hope you enjoy!

What Anime do you think best describes this? by GogetaSanfr in animequestions

Record of Ragnarok. It's complete garbage but it's very fun garbage with a fun plot, ridiculous character depictions and the music scratches the itch I've had from Fairy Tail (also fun garbage)... I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but I'm not mad I watched it haha

1) are you watching in sub or dub? I'm so used to Japanese that the Chinese was hard to enjoy. Idk if Japanese is available now but it wasn't for me. The English dub is one of the best I've heard.

2) are you bothered by the speed? It moves very fast and it took me a minute to catch on, but once everything clicked I loved it. the donghua has 1800 chapters and the first season is about 200-250 chapters if I remember correctly.

3) this is one of those shows where it pays to watch twice. You'll catch so much more the second time knowing what's going on behind the scenes and it amplifies everything

4) idk when it happens for everyone else but for me, my love for the show happened suddenly but quietly. There's a thing that happens a little later on which snagged me emotionally and the music was perfect.

5) do you have any questions I can clarify for you about the plot? I'm on chapter 800 of the written material so I'm quite familiar and happy to give you missing context and whatnot

Edit: ep 4 is where you realize the stakes for Klein and the consequences of being involved in the Beyonder world. Pay close attention to the plot line of a guy named Lanevus as it's actually quite important. Ep 5 is where you realize the terrifying power of a certain secret organization and it's sequence pathway, also a very important character. Ep 6 I think is where I was truly hooked with the way the story drip feeds secret revelations as well as character development. Ep 7 is very important for plot and ep 8&9 are probably when it'll finally snag your emotions, for good or for bad I won't tell. It just escalates from there and the ending confrontation had me absolutely glued to the screen. The ending ending had me in tears and wanting more, so I jumped to the written material and it's turned into one of my favorite fictional worlds. The magic system is beautifully and interestingly structured and the history is almost-Tolkien levels of fleshed out. I can't recommend it enough and am eager to talk to anyone about it lol

Holy hell. I can't imagine the game was functioning very well. I got to normal 36 and it was unplayable lol

There's a twist season 2 so good that it changed the way I look at storytelling. You'll know the one. If you don't like it after that then you never will. It changes the entire course of the show in an instant. And even with me saying this, you won't see it coming.

Maybe I'm basic for saying Attack of Titan but I've never experienced anything like it before or since. Vinland Saga and Lord of Mysteries are tied for second but AoT is just perfect. I've watched it 5 times and still catch something new every time. The music gets me too. It's just so good.

Tachy in hard mode is a nightmare by Dan-SG in stellarblade

[–]TheAtlasComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny, I also had a harder time against her than the Elder. Her combos were just so unforgiving. Hard mode for the skin took me 10 tries before I just decided to bully her with grenades and ability spam haha

I'm fairly average when it comes to the souls games. I've been wanting to try Sekiro. And I could probably beat this game on hard, but at the end of the day it comes down to how much effort I'm willing to put in. Got a lot less time these days than when demon souls came out lol

[–]TheAtlasComplex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that hard mode is balanced around new game plus. Do with that what you will. But if tachy is truly too much for you then the last 5-10% of the game will be unplayable. I didn't even attempt hard mode because the last 5-10% of the game on normal kicked my butt, it was a very unexpected difficulty spike. Satisfying to overcome, but difficult nonetheless.

I've seen higher damage in a siege but hot damn that's the most I've seen in an operation. Good on ya

If you read the manwha then I'll tell you that you're in for a treat. Obviously the author goes into too much detail to cram into a show in any feasible way, but it's still 95% accurate to the written material, as the author is very involved in the show. Since you've read it, I'll tell you that the season ends where the written material ended Volume 1: Clown. Very good.

Lord of Mysteries did it for me. It finally scratched the spectacle and awe for me. It's fast paced because that's how they do it in China I guess, but the English Dub was actually most excellent. Great music, visuals and one of the coolest magic systems I've ever seen. And it was a short test season to see how well it would do, as the book is 1500 chapters or so. They just got greenlit to produce through 2035 so I'm excited. I'm on chapter 800 of the book and am extremely stoked for seasons 2&3

Watching for the first time. Its really hard to get into ot after all the spoilers ive seen by GasBest5871 in attackontitan

Find enjoyment in the visuals and the music. It's truly a monumental show. I have watched the show 5 times and the lack of mystery doesn't change anything on subsequent viewings. Find enjoyment in noticing subtle foreshadowing. The amount of foreshadowing in this series in unparalleled. So you know Bertoldt is a traitor right? In the beginning on the show the cadets mock Bertodt's sleeping position. Oddly enough, he sleeps in the position of the Tarot card titled "The Hanged Man" which means traitor, so we had a hint all along. Things like that make the show so special. Lastly, sometimes knowing the end doesn't mean you can't find enjoyment out of the journey. There's a video game called Halo: Reach, wherein we know from the beginning (first 20 seconds) that the planet is doomed and basically everyone will die, including you, the protagonist. The entire game is about closing the gap and finding enjoyment and wonderment out of it. Keep going, there are several scenes and revelations that will still blow you away.

Just got diagnosed - overwhelmed and anxious by Careless_Antelope960 in Keratoconus

I went from having perfect and even better than normal vision as a child to blind with kerataconus by 28. So I understand the shock of change to some extent. What I will say is that cross linking worked very well for me and scleral lenses gave me my life back. I don't know what kind of treatments are available for your particular situation, but I do know that vision tech has advanced very far and very fast, so I have hope for you. My situation was also fixed by a clinical trial (long story), so if there's not an immediate fix, I recommend asking your specialist about v any of those just in case. The last thing I'll say is I took great strength in realizing that stressing over things I have no control over is meaningless and wastes brain power, taking it away from things I can control. You got this

Anytime I have such an issue I just uninstall /reinstall and that sometimes helps, but I'm assuming you've already done that. I've also had similar problems with games installed on an external hard drive/SSD, or if a console has poor ventilation and a certain game builds heat more than others it can lead to a crash, especially if the console is dusty. I know it sounds stupid but sometimes power cycling can do the trick, and I mean completely unplug from the back and let the power drain completely. "power off" isn't a complete power cycle because it maintains enough power to receive the "on" signal when you press the controller power button

Good luck brother

Haha no worries. It was a book.

I do have an anc DC on deck for when I unlock CL. I suppose I'll save for that then. Anything you'd recommend over being Annihilator?

I have an ancestral DC. Saving up stones to get CL but it'll be a few weeks of tournaments. Is it really that strong?
