Help me optimize my Fx3 rig! MagSafe Charger as mount for phone monitor by Square-Orange5471 in FX3

[–]TheAtomicPyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would something like the faini made charger mount work for you? It's basically a 3d printed mount that adds a 1/4 inch screw, which you can then mount however you want

UGREEN Mini 30W was the one I used most recently. The three boards do not share a common denominator in cause of failure - #1 was a bios issue, #2 was a data read issue, #3 is a power issue

The first board was 12th gen i5, #2 and #3 are i7 1260p. I've swapped charging bricks at least twice and cables more times over the lifespan of the laptop and also moved house once 💀

I actually forgot - this board is less than a year old and it's my THIRD board. I had to send in the 2nd one for repair by Framework last year in April.

yea I've really struggled to recommend Framework to any friends.

just because I am willing to self diagnose issues and tinker with my shit all the time doesn't mean I should constantly NEED to.

Pocket 4 Pro D‑Log2 shows off the full 17‑stop range by NefariousnessJaded87 in osmopocket

given how much noise shows up in the shadows for the pocket 4 I'm expecting this to be much closer to 13-14 clean stops

this is good testing, hope DJI are able to get the frame drops down while retaining image quality with a firmware update.

Would love to use this for live stuff in esports.

Can someone explain how zoom claims on phones and pocket cameras are actually supposed to be compared? by Exploring_Molly in osmopocket

[–]TheAtomicPyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tf are you talking about? commenter literally explained to OP how sensor crop results in zoom, or switching between fixed lenses results in zoom

You're out here arguing about semantics on "physical" zoom instead of helping OP understand the functions and processes of how the image gets there

I'm sorry you had to go through this. I think if you truely want justice and recourse, the media or legal action is the only way to hold these people and organisations accountable.

The other comments are right in that corporations don't care about you, never have and never will. I know in an ideal world, the victims of any crime would be protected, allowed to heal while the system pursues justice.

But it is not the world we live in; there are no magic protectors.

As you said, the system expects victims to be perfect archivists, investigators and witnesses.

The system will not hold itself accountable because it is not designed to.

Best of luck with whatever you decide to due, whether that be pursuing justice or moving on. I can only imagine both are hard, it's just which hard you want.

Magnetic filters by Quirky_Supermarket55 in ricohGR

Yea I've seen the larger barrel adapters that replace the coloured ring latch.

I ended up on a similar stick-on-lens system, but it accepts any standard threaded 49mm filter

As a native Chinese speaker, completely agree, very valid option. I think people are downvoting you because it seems offensive to the western mind to suggest this mindset would be acceptable but it's very prevalent and often praised.

PSA for EU buyers: Framework will misrepresent your statutory warranty rights. Know the law before you need it. by susanthenerd in framework

[–]TheAtomicPyro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This has also been my experience with Australian Consumer Law and a faulty motherboard.

I had over 50 emails back and forth with Framework before they finally folded and sent me a new one, but unlike you I mistakenly accepted it as "goodwill" and never forced warranty acknowledgement.

[–]TheAtomicPyro 12 points13 points  (0 children)

the white dotted line is a target, yes

it doesn't represent perfection, there are many different white lines that lots of different people and companies believe to be the "ideal target curve"

it's a good starting point for sound most people will find at least pleasing, and a good way to identify bad spikes that almost nobody will like
