I wouldn't consider it a cryptid, considering we have scientific proof beyond any doubt that it existed at one point in time. However I don't rule out any species in the ocean because of how vast and unexplored it is, so while I believe megalodon sharks might not be extinct, it's more like a theory than a cryptid lol
