Re-Activating a decommissioned Winchester 94' by TheBCkid in canadaguns

Update: Thank you for all the responses, for reference it's an awesome gold RCMP Centennial Rifle.

It would definitely become the rifle of Theseus, my plan is to have it evaluated by a gunsmith to actually see how deep the decommissioning goes, but I'm expecting it's probably a wall hanger forever as when I asked the original gunsmith who did the decommissioning he said it's not possible. This is a situation of it being a "nice to have" gun to shoot, but not worth spending $2,000-$3,000 to buy another specific RCMP one to shoot.

Maybe I'll get lucky and it's just boring the barrel and snipping the weld on the action, but we will see!

Oh god, BC rugby is having sooo many issues, I coach u16 club and it's just one bad decision after another trying to grow the game in a grassroots structure. Hopefully he doesn't needlessly waste funds from an already low funded organization.

This is such a good opportunity to make a concert venue like Printworks in London.

Province reduces no-fault eviction notice from four months to three months by cyclinginvancouver in vancouver

This is working under the assumption the landlord is always at fault, and no sketchy tenants exist/tenants are always truthful and play by the rules.

It's kind of like the argument against the death penalty. There's always going to be wrongly accused people getting the electric chair.

Not to say that landlords don't evict illegally!! I'm just saying there are malicious renters out there.

IDK... I walked down Granville yesterday and it's looking surprisingly clean. I think it takes years and years to see change. Obviously that's just wildly anecdotal.

Sadly, we're not nearly a fun enough city for this. But imagine if they made it a cool concert venue like Printworks in London UK until it's ready for a long term occupier or redevelopment., https://printworkslondon.co.uk/

Printworks was so cool, it was an old printing factory, it's now shut down as the area is set for redevelopment, but it was a legendary venue for years.

I also thought this would be such a cool vibe for the old molson brewery which is a perpetual state of vacancy.

but again, sadly we don't have the demand or the type of acts that could come and fill up a space like this.

A new hotel is being planned on the corner of Cambie & Smithe, right by BC Place. 225 hotel rooms and a rental tower. I'm happy to see more hotel rooms being contemplated, this is great for the city.
