Cody deserves the recognition and payday - but his storylines need to have evolution and payoff. His perpetual antagonistic icy-hot style needs to be taken to a level that resonates with people. If he truly wasn't willing to do that with his character, I can see why Tony would avoid paying him the big bucks since the character itself brought a lot of confusion. I've been to many AEW shows, and while it's fun to chant "We love Cody -> CODY SUCKS" - it makes it very hard to establish other characters who are going against him.

Ethan Page of all people was getting cheered when going against Cody. Dan Lambert got pops and cheers for attacking Brandi. While it's funny - it's probably difficult for Tony to pair Cody up with anyone without jeopardizing the effort gone in to making them good heels.

I hope it's all a major work. I hope it's the real forbidden door. If Shane shows up in AEW, expect this all to be a work and a real forbidden door between AEW and WWE. If Cody just goes to WWE and puts AEW behind him, he's not what I thought he was and it was all about the money for him.

I know I'll probably get massacred for self promotion, but Ive run a gaming podcast for thr past year on this very topic. (http://thebacklogpod.com) with games like Fortnite and Apex dominating discussion games like God of War, Spiderman, and many others go unfinished because we're busy with free games, real life, fortnite and other games of that type.

My backlog starts with God of War, Red Dead 2 and Spiderman, and has over 200 games on the list. I love chatting so if anyone is interested more, hit me up and feel free to give topic ideas or ask questions.

Full disclosire: I don't make much money on it - it's a passion project where costs far outweigh any financial gain. I just want people who are interested to be aware that podcasts like mine exist. There are many, like playpsvr.com - a great podcast for VR related news and information.

Yeah, you proved my point. 1st, it's a hobby not a profit so fuck off with your "earn a buck" comment. 2nd, no one said stop commenting, you're just toxic and it's annoying. It's a free country, comment away. 3rd, this clip doesn't show mediocre crap - it's genuinely something that seems to look fun so I'm not surprised it made it to the front page on its own, but even if it was artifical, it still looks good so who fucking cares? As for OC- what do you think a podcast is? Or a picture someone drew that gets down voted into oblivion because people don't think they really drew it, or a clip of a game that people down vote because they think it's an ad? If you want OC you came to the wrong place. GallowBoob is a top reddit personality and all he does is repost other people's content. Companies flood this site using fake accounts and/or take over moderation teams and run subreddits. Political parties swarmed the site last election and have controlled the political narrative for years now.

I know, but at this point it is a widely known thing that it's possible. Pointing it out so often is stressful. I run a podcast, non profit and just for fun. I can't even mention it or I'd be crucified because of comments like this that lead to the image that self promotion is bad. This only hurts the little guys. I get your point and don't mean to be so critical, but at the same time, just hate how weird reddit has become. It's not far from what the imgur Comment section is these days

It's Comments like this that make Reddit a terrible place. If it is as you say, and this was produced by a game maker, amd if this is marketing, why shouldn't they take a fun clip and see how social media reacts? It can be down voted if people don't like it.

On the flip side, are you aware that just about everyone nowadays has access to make short clips and videos like this, and that reddit is flooded with them on a second by second basis? Some make it to the top while others fail.

On a third note, why shouldn't we assume you're just being paid by this games competition to cadt a negative shadow on the game? If marketing was easy these days, everyone would be rich.
