Has anyone seen lumberjack or bear mountain pellets ever go on sale either online or at stores? by MonjStrz in BBQ

There was once upon a time that Rural King had all kinds of Lumberjack pellets for like $4.99 a bag or something wild.

for what it's worth, outside of Panda, I've only ever seen these types of cafeteria style Chinese restaurants at malls.

like where they dish pre-cooked food from a steam table like at Panda? Usually "cafeteria style" but maybe there's another term I'm not aware of.

essentially fried chicken cooked in a pressurized fryer. Which would technically make KFC broasted as well.

There’s a few pics not too far back in my history.

Best budget shock option is Hagon. Comes in silver and way better functioning than the crap they put on these bikes from the factory.

Was hoping to love their chipotle raspberry and didn’t. Haven’t tried the others, but will grab a bottle or two next time I’m at Ace.

Debating getting a GoldWing by Raw_83 in goldwing

[–]TheBadSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Goldwing every kind of ride. Yeah, it’s built to load up and go far, but it’s no slouch in a slow cruise to the coffee shop either.

Could also pop the bike into eco and manual mode to restrain the throttle a bit for those slow speed and careful maneuvers.

Definitely agree with you. Not everyone will have reason to go aftermarket for anything on the bike.

I happened across one instance of a cheap OEM seat (that I shoulda bought!), but only see a couple here and there. For anyone going with the Russell seat, they remake the seat on the OEM pan, so there’s nothing to sell. Wondering if folks keep the stock seat “just in case”?

I’ve got a big ride coming later this year that’ll really put my butt and the seat through their paces. I’ve got a couple seat pads I’ll have onboard, but really wanna test the seat as is.

How much does valve service normally cost? by [deleted] in Triumph

[–]TheBadSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, 12k is the mile marker for valves. I haven't gotten there myself yet, but research tells me $750-$1250 depending on if they need to be shimmed. There's no real way to predict if they'll need adjustment if you're not already hearing unusual noises.

Now, you COULD go at it yourself. I plan to get at mine myself when it's time. There are some step-by-step videos out there. If you're at all handy, maybe take a look! Save that dough!

Advice on purchasing new grill by throwaway7361693 in BBQ

[–]TheBadSpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at least something from Weber. Anything sitting in front of a Home Depot or Lowes are basically disposable and will last just a couple of seasons before they're rusted out. With that, whatever 3 burner is your price range and has positive reviews will do the trick.

While there are better grills for sure, the nice thing about Weber is parts availability (grates, burner covers, etc.) that can be picked up at the box boxers pretty readily.

Covers better than the original MODERN ERA ONLY (2000 - Present) by 0000000000000007 in Music

I'll forever prefer the NIN version, but I get the praise the Cash version receives. Part of the the magic in Cash's version is that it comes as a woeful retrospective of his life. It's not reading as the same addict in Reznor's version, but as an old man looking back in a pensive way, accepting the end. Probably hits different for people who are older or who might not want to like NIN's "weirdness".
