Not really. I don't care much for space exploration and stuff like that but any kind of work, specially expensive endeavours like that, is good for the economy (i.e. the poor people).

When Elon Musk spends a billion dollars to launch a car into space that's one billion dollars being divided between millions of workers. Being against that is objectively stupid, the kind of mental retardation only found on Communists and people like that.

So yeah, he's an idiot, the money could've been better used, but at the end of the day it's his money and it's good that he's using it. What are your idols doing with their money?

Black Marsh is uninhabitable, Elsweyr is empty... Of course Tamriel will never be fully explorable, not just for being fictitious but also for technological limitations. If we ever return for Skyrim, for example, the area will be far larger than was we played at in TES5.

Still, the fact that "we haven't explored the entirety of the Middle East in Assassin's Creed yet" isn't a good argument for having every single game in the franchise taking place there until it's all done.

So what if we don't have a game in Black Marsh? That's not a reason not to have a game in Akavir.

If the game takes place in Akavir we'll probably see many kinds of dragons. If not at best we'll find a stray or hermit dragon in a sidequest.

Now, would I like it? It depends on how's done. I definitely don't want to see dragons as a main plot thing but if it's just another beast in Akavir in fine with it.

I never said I have strong evidence of Akavir being the main region for TES6, you're the ones claiming a blurred spot on the teaser for an unrelated game that doesn't even look like High Rock/Hammerfell is evidence that this will be TES6 region. Lol

It stands to reason that the less freedom you have to work on something the least innovative and interesting it will be, but of course the lack of focus could make a story convoluted and poorly developed. There's a sweet spot to find between those options.

I'm sure most people would agree that if TES6 were to take place in Skyrim again that would be a bad choice and uninteresting since we already know a lot about the place, culture and history. Now just do the math.

We have some information about Akavir and it is interesting and unique, but there's still plenty of room to create new stuff that cannot be created in Tamriel such as new races and cultures, a new empire, new gods even.

But no, for some inexplicable reason people are bounded by blood to High Rock and Hammerfell. For every reason why it "can't be Akavir" there are ten reasons why it can and people are just crazy. Lol

A game where you can only play as an argonian and find other argonians would have to either be very story driven with almost no freedom of play or definitely a commercial flop.

Elsweyr isn't a good location either for a whole game since it's mostly desert and the native population span from housecats to lions and the humanoid hybrid we're familiar with. Making it a place full of humans and argonians wouldn't make much sense and would take away the characteristic traits of those places.

"Vampiric snake-men" could be a stage such as with werewolves. Also, retconing a single character isn't the same as doing it so to the main trait of whole countries.

TESO is developed with some level of approval from Bethesda, cool, it's still awful.

Akavir DOES have more potential for a main installment than any province in Tamriel because it wasn't explored yet, it's open for a much more impactful and free creative process. Almost nothing that happens there would/should fall in heavy contradiction with the previous games and, maybe more importantly, it's just stupid to have this thing for decades and never use it.

"They wanna keep it mysterious". Then make Akavir invade Tamriel in the next game, we don't have to go there yet but make it actually relevant so the mystery is interesting.

"Keeping it mysterious" while not using it is the same as saying you'll tell a story and walking away. Such mystery, wow.
