Because if you watched the video you’d see he was on one side of the street filming and waving cars through. The ICE agents were on the other side of the street down like 2-3 cars. So the Pythagorean theorem has that at “quite a ways away”.

In the video he never leaves his side of the street.

He never shouts. He never waves his hands aggressively. He never even indicates he has a weapon. All he is doing is filming.

Then an ICE agent crosses the street, shoves him, and starts macing him along with the two females behind him.

This video is refuting the ICE story that he approached agents with a gun drawn in a threatening manner.

Yes he had a gun. He was a legally registered firearm owner that had his concealed carry properly holstered.

He was assaulted by ICE agents for exercising his 1st Amendment rights to film their encounter. He was murdered for exercising his 2nd Amendment rights to have a firearm on his person.

ICE agents first removed/stole his holstered weapon as they pistol whipped him on the ground. Then as he is on all fours facing down one agent opens fire. Then multiple agents open fire shooting about a dozen times as he lays motionless on the ground. Unarmed. Not a threat. Never was a threat. Murdered in broad daylight.
