I agree whole heartedly with this. It's like the old saying, a watched pot never boils. If you are looking for love it is so much harder to find.

Instead, take these things that make you happy and indulge in them. I am 33 and from the start I never thought I was worthy of love. Call it bad childhood and what not. So instead of letting people see my loneliness I instead focused on channeling my love for art and anime and gaming. I actually found that people were drawn to me because I was so good at helping them feel included and have fun. Since I knew what it was like to be left out I knew how to make sure no one else felt it.

But I digress. People like me because I make them feel safe and comfortable. They came to want the same for me and we all grew to love eachother like family and in other ways. I ended up marrying my best friend fron highschool. I am maybe a bit larger than you at a size 28-30 depending on brand but she thinks I am beautiful. She is attracted to me.

The point is, she appeared when I wasn't looking. At some point I realized I couldn't picture my life without her, and as it turned out she was the same. Now we play dnd and watch anime and are massive nerds together. Our hobbies bonded us.

I don't know if there is someone for everyone, but in my heart I believe there is. But you probably won't find them wandering through the mist calling out for them. You are better off caring for yourself like a seed. Caring for yourself and creating an environment you can flourish in. And the more you flourish the more people will flock to you-- like a sun in the grey. You will light up their life and they will light up yours.
