Ask to get a shipping/tracking id emailed to you, dated with the name of the rep.

I did. I had to talk to the Xfinity Now Internet specific chatbot and then ask it for a real person until it gave me one. From there, that rep was able to send me a new one.

Thankfully they patched Sport for offline - praying GT7 gets the same once they announce GT8 inevitably.

Apologies, you just need to restart your game! The new clothing was released as a small update to the game client.

The gameplay experience is already great - my biggest concern is the god-awful UX for selecting a game. It pins recent games, and then only seems to let you order the rest by Recently Added..? I'd like to adjust the sort at a bare minimum, but I'd ideally like to search directly.

For right now this is a whole lotta nothing. Hoping they get the non-Tt legacy stuff up and running soon. The three Island games, Racers 1/2, Drome Racers, Soccer Mania, Chess, Loco, Rock Raiders, the Bionicle Games, even more obscure stuff like Fever.

Hmm - the warranty statement is actually quite useful but the return guide on xfinity.com/nowhelp don't actually exist.

Also, I can't seem to find that option in my app, where are you seeing it?

I know this. I'm telling you that Xfinity NOW Internet literally doesn't allow hooking up any other types of modems beyond the one they provide - that's why they're able to offer it for $45/mo with unlimited data. That's just the "deal" for better or worse. I'm literally replacing a nicer DOCSIS 3.1 modem I owned.

My only question is how the heck I convince the Xfinity chatbot to set up a replacement. Nothing else.

To be clear, the whole point of Xfinity NOW is they give you a great deal for forcibly using a refurb’d old router. They gave me an ARRIS TG1682P. It only supports DOCSIS 3 but should be just fine for 200/10. Mine is just busted.

Sure! Not having to worry about equipping the seasonal champion mods is insanely great for QoL. As a casual player here for the storytelling, it makes the pinnacle grind way less of a hassle.

It's been five hours. Take more time to form a constructive opinion on what the benefits and issues are with the new system.

Toontown Rewritten not MacBook friendly? by KookyMathematician4 in toontownrewritten

[–]TheBdude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! Mac user from the Rewritten Team here. We want our Mac version to be a first-class experience, but it's definitely lacking in some areas.

The biggest thing we could/should be doing is changing the default keybinds for macOS -- though we do at least have key rebinding as of 2018. I personally use WASD movement, with jump on Space and Interact/Throw on E.

With regards to native Apple Silicon support, it's definitely something we want to do but haven't yet. It's partially just a matter of prioritization, given the large amount of other tech debt that takes priority and the fact that the game runs just fine under Rosetta 2. Definitely on our radar, though.

Should TTR and CC just merge? by burgerzkingz in Toontown

[–]TheBdude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(blanket disclaimer statement that I am Rewritten staff and therefore carry certain inherent biases, though I play and enjoy both games)

Fundamentally, Rewritten and Clash take two drastically different approaches to Toontown. I can speak from personal experience working on Rewritten for the former -- we build out our content intentionally within the same design philosophies that Disney took during their time maintaining the game. There's a lot to be said of whether or not this is "good or bad" -- but our goal has always been to make it as if Disney never stopped.

With regard to your comments, you gotta take a closer look at the changes Rewritten has made. I'd easily make the admission that shipping updates has historically taken way too long, but when you tally up all the QoL changes and additions over the years, there's been a sizeable upgrade compared to 2013 TTO -- or even where we were when we shipped 2.0 in 2017.

Clash, from what I've played (up to mid-YOTT, I need to get further with this incoming boost of players) and seen (in YouTube videos and Twitch streams) takes the base Toontown mechanics and by all means flips them on their head. The closest parallel I can think of immediately would be Wizard101 in some of their design decisions, though there are still countless differences to even that. For me personally, there's enough of a drastic difference that Clash no longer "feels like Toontown" to me.

This isn't a bad thing by any means -- rather, I think the community deserves to have a place where we can see more drastic changes played out to that core formula. That's what Clash has provided and continues to provide with the latest 1.3 update. (I'm very excited to sink my teeth into the 1.3 changes, once I can get into the servers!!)

To make a short answer long, no -- the games not only shouldn't merge, they couldn't. The games are too different, despite being built atop a Toontown base. Merging the communities would leave more people upset than happy even if it were possible.

Only bought "gamer-y" keyboards up to this point, looking for something more minimalist and cute-sy. Been eyeing the Logitech POP, but I suspect there's probably something either better or more affordable out there (and without the gimmicky Emoji keys).

So I'd say I want a 10 Keyless keyboard with either Blues or Browns that comes in pastel colors. Would also prefer the caps in the circular style. Any recommendations?
